I was excited as hell for DS2. Too bad the game focusses more on combat and loot than interesting puzzles and Zelda style dungeons.

Death's story brought nothing interesting to the table at all.

The logo itself is just a cowboy gunslinger.The poster made the connection that it fits with Strife since he specializes in guns.

I want to be excited about this because DS1 was boss, but DS2 kinda killed any interest I had in the franchise.

Looks like a cool character, glad the game is coming, but I don't have much hope for a fourth side story with Strife and then a big finale team game coming out either.

God do I hate the artstyle of these games. I should play the other two since everyone raves about them so much, tried to get into Darksiders once before but really did not care for it after a couple hours.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but Darksiders 1 starts very linearly compared to where it goes for the rest of the game. I'm not a big fan of the first hour or two. When I first played it, I dropped it during that, but later came back and slogged through it and found it opens up to the more Zelda like approach after that.

No, they can always so a sequel with the 4 horseman coming together. I actually dislike these types of new characters going on a quest only to find out it isn't a sequel. The plot shouldn't hinder a sequel.

As long as the game is good does it really matter that much? I am fine with it either way as the build up for each horseman or a sequel to be honest just many of the posters seem overly upset about it.

I think so, yeah- the closure and sale of properties probably delayed it. I'm surprised they came back to the series, but glad they did. Still, it's been dormant for a bit and DS2's reception was mixed at best (though I think it sold well?) so it'll be interesting if they finally get to complete the whole story.

Exactly. Resident Evil does it but the majority of games rarely ever switch it up with their main protagonist.

The "they won't do an avengers before every avenger gets a story" logic is flawed. Because Iron Man didn't end in a cliffhanger that was resolved in Avengers, nor were the other MCU movie released in between those two were prequels to Iron Man.

Hell I don't even remember how Darksiders 1 ended right now except for the three Horsemen coming in and War talking to someone that he is not alone....yes I don't even remember who it was and that isn't getting resolved until 2021.
