They announced a 4-player Darksiders sequel two years ago - nothing has been shown though besides a teaser of the Charred Council and a blurb about the basic gameplay structure.

I'm likely in the minority, but if they can blend their remnant coooerative class building and dungeon crawling chops with the action and bespoke-ness of the darksiders games…it'd be something special

Played the PS4 remaster (?) on PS5 (which already looked and run great) and loved it. Had no idea about the series beforehand.

they never said it is a coop game. from every info they have given out so far it sounds like a single player game, where you can chose between the 4 horsemen, and each has different abilities.

PC update is a mess on Steam Deck. When booting the game it displays in a tiny window in the middle of the screen and the only fix I've found is to use proton experimental.

Fortunately the cutscenes work and the game is running smooth, but there's no way to change resolution and I think the game defaults to 720p due to the black bars top and bottom of the screen. There's also no exclusive full screen mode and I can't find the ini file to manually change it.

Edit: fixed resolution by adding w- 1200 h- 800 to the steam command line in games properties. Although this shouldn't be necessary, the devs should add a resolution option in game.

What's funny is that the DS3 B&W on PSN is currently on sale for $15. Doesn't say if you would be given the PS5 version of DS1.

Hmmm. Maybe? The PSN store either is just adding stuff or it's privy to data they've not yet discussed - all corroborations of it having it are articles piggybacking off of the store listings on steam, PSN Xbox et al…

They also say it's NOT mandatory co op - but I don't know where that's coming from either.

Yeah, I finished it recently and it's the game that could use an upgrade the most. It doesn't even need a "remaster". Just a resolution and framerate bump so hopefully there's something in the cards for 3 too as part of the same marketing leading to 4.

It's already 4K/60 on the PS4 Pro. Not sure if it ever got bespoke One X upgrades but I reckon that'd be the same.

And the Xbox 360 version runs 4K/60 on Series consoles cause it got both a res and FPS boost for BC.

This is a completely pointless "fill something in the calendar" release, lol.

It's already 4K/60 on the PS4 Pro.

It's something like ~1600p with pretty crappy AA/AF so it looks worse than it sounds. It's not terrible mind you, but I'm not opposed to a new and improved version.

These games are for sure classics, but maybe the devs should take that as a hint and follow the same formula for a new game?
