where did TCKaos get the holo sd. I know it can be from killing a hacker and getting the item, however it doesnt mix well when they're accusing of hacking and the screenshot depicts a weapon that isn't in the dayz wiki :/
From crap that a hacker spawned in (the hacker spawned a crate with 5x of every weapon). He posted an excerpt from Rocket saying there's nothing wrong with using a hacked weapon so long as you're not the person spawning them in.

Yeah, but that's where it boils down to the point of supposedly being allied with people who hack. As a player who despises hackers, despite their nature (one day they may have had intercourse and want to gift weapons, the next day they ravage your server), I would not carry a weapon they spawned. Basicly because of the duping nature of the game that may allow many of them around the server and game.

PS: Iyeah I know there's nothing wrong or risky on carrying them, because you can't expect everyone to know which weapons are in the game or not.

I mean, people have been finding shit unrelated to all of the different shenanigans that happened last night. Someone just killed a different non-hacker that was using a thermal AS50. Somebody was just turned in to a zombie and teleported to Drakon. J-Rock and Hylian (especially Hylian) have been wigging out because they're being chased by a man riding an invisible motorcycle. This was in the last half hour.

Well, what I meant was that you can restore people's loadouts if a hacker ruin everyone's day because you have direct access to the db.

I know, I mean if you run a non-hive server so you have a local db that's not related to the hive at all.
I think at this point not much really matters. Hacked guns being passed around. People accusing others of hacking without so much of any sort of proof. False positives on cheat reporting software. Its all to much.
But there may be a silver lining to this story. All the hacks, cheats, scripts and other such crap can help make the stand alone better. By seeing how they are getting in is the best way to stop them from doing it further. Its my hope that this is what Rocket plans on/is doing.

I still suggest that no hacked items get looted and specially never put on tents. You're asking for people to be able to dupe them, and ethically having a thermal AS 50 is cheating. The holo sd is fine, because aside from the noise, there's not any added effect... but a thermal vision addon with one of the (if not the) best sniper rifles... hmmm not good.

Just got my first murder in a long while, some person in a gillie suit was standing around occasionally shooting zeds, so after just being murdered myself i decided to sneak up behind him and put 3 revolver rounds in the back of his head. Turns out he was kitted out with everything possible so i grabbed it all and ran into the forests.
One weird thing, after about 5 minuites since i killed the guy my screen flashed blue and my stats reset plus my backback had reverted back to the normal one so i lost the gear inside it. i still had the silenced weapons from him and all the tools though. Did i kill a hacker and he was messing with the server?

I'm currently still playing as a lone survivor on the gaf server. Anyway: This morining I decided to head for Elektro and check out if there was anything left of the camp, but before I even got there I found this boat in the middle of a forest:
After seeing this I decided to head on. Since it was dark travelling fast was quite easy and I got into a spot with a good overview of the island and it's surroundings shortly after. I then watched the island with my binoculars for a while to make shure I wouldn't get shot during my approach. When I was sure there was noone I decided to test my luck and walked, then swam towards the camp. On the way I found the body of an unlucky gaf member.
However when I arrived there was nothing left, except for a lot of flattened tents and the body of another survivor who had some 5.56 ammo on him, so my journey was not entirely whitout payoff.
After this I decided to head north again, back into the forests. However on my way out Elktro I spotted a supermarket, as I was low on canned food I wanted to make one last stop in order to stock up. I entered through the back after evading some hungry zombies, but as I looked around the back for useful loot I heard someone else walking around indoors. At first I assumed it was another zombie, but I didn't hear the usual groaning, so I decided to check it out. To my suprise it was another survivor, the first one I'd seen in days, he didn't notice my however as he was busy looting himself. From behind the counter I aimed my m16 for his head and contemplated killing him, but noticed he wasn't wearing nvgs so he probably couldn't see me anyway, nor did he seem much of a treat.
So I hid behind the counter and asked if he was friendly. He did reply, muttering a few words which I couldn't make out, I heard movement and prepared to shoot, but didn't see anything move. After a while the sound faded away and I decided to take another look. It turned out he had left through the front exit and was nowhere to be seen. So after assuring myselft he was gone I quickly looted the rest of the supermarket and ran off north, constantly making sure I wasn't followed.
What was even stranger is that I could actually enter the boat, so my guess is that it somehow got teleported.

That was definitely a hacker and we had no chance against him. The only thing we could do was keep driving and hope he got bored and went to go bother someone else. The invisible dirtbike was an obvious sign, plus there were so many times there we could have shaken a normal player.
Lingor was mostly hacker free. Shortly before we logged out a hacker made everyone dance then kicked everyone with BattleEye error #142. No one could get back into that server after that.
