What about boaty and boaty jr?
Well big boaty is still there. I can see him poking out the top in the first pic.

Note to self, do NOT use "Analog Throttle" with a controller on the Osprey, you WILL tip forward or backward and crash.
Basically, the difference between the standard Q and Z and the "Analog Throttle" options is that Q and Z keep constant application on the throttle where you are at, so you won't go down if you don't touch anything.
I survived two crashes today on the same character, one was my fault, and the other was not. Here's the one that was not, as it resulted in quite a DayZ adventure.

People still playing DayZ? Weird.
Its dumb and I hate it.
I thought everyone would've moved on to INFESTATION: SURVIVOR STORIES.
Got an interview up with Dean Hall of 'Day Z' fame. It's in podcast format... Check it out here.
No, my silly.
Thanks for that. I've been told my interview style comes across as being somewhat unconventional, in that I don't ask the same questions other journalists ask. I assume that's a good thing.Really good interview. It was a good insight into Rockets life style and how he views DayZ.
Is that a picture of the DayZ Standalone development room?
I think I should unsub from this thread like I did with Starbound.
All this time they spent, I really wish they just created a new, 100% zombie dedicated map as well...
I mean the reason why we are seeing all these features and content being added is because the server architect isn't ready, could have made an actual map too.
I was playing that solo the last few days. I noticed some things like the zombies being improved, like you can't run right by them scot free. They still are a major annoyance and the only threat from them is jankiness.1.8 is now working through Day-Z Commander.
When's that milestone going to get approved for Dean Hall's team?
Get a load of this guy, having hope for an impending release or something.
Playing GTA V to kill time till Standalone, if I have to keep waiting Battlefield 4 will carry me the rest of the way. Anyway GTA is fucking awesome, just beat the main story and can wait for the online part to do some heists with the DayZ crew!
The sheer amount of upgrades they have made to the current iteration of Chernarus is staggering.
Standalone looks like a totally different game, while retaining the familiarity of Chernarus.
My PC cries at the thought of having an actual city in the Arma engine.I guess I just want The walking dead style map ( the show), so based in the US.

But honestly, I don't know. We haven't really received any updates as far as the "network bubble" goes or the exact nature of it, and as far as I know I think that's more or less the only thing keeping the alpha from being publicly available and/or functional.

New Screenshot. I'm pleased because I'm not 100% sure what town this is. Though I think is Vichnoy looking north? Or maybe Mogilevka?

A lot of the towns in Chernarus still run together in my head look mostly the same. Only a few really stick out visually, and it comes down to mostly Cherno, Elektro, and Berezino.New Screenshot. But that is basically what the "network bubble" is for (sort of).Yeah the people at Bohemia Interactive needs to start working on a new engine but I'm afraid that will never happen lol.. Would be a good kick starter idea though
Curious what all it would have it it came out then. There have been a bunch of things that Rocket said may or may not be in the alpha. Here is a few of them off the top of my head.![]()
Looks like littlworm might have been right about a October release of StandAlone. He asked me the other day what I thought about such a release and at the time was still VERY skeptical about it. Rocket has gone on time and time again saying that "Nothing is keeping me from releasing alpha, other than the network bubble"(Note: Short and sweet here but not really a direct quote)
Now since the Network bubble is a something that cant really be filmed other than slowing down gameplay vids and looking at frametimes or ping latency vs ping retention its easy to understand why he hasnt shown anything new with it.
Now from a marketing standpoint October is an AWESOME month for a game like this. Spooky, eerie games really suit the time around Halloween and I can only hope Rocket releases DayZ SA Alpha with an awesome Trailer for Halloween.
And If its not SA then maybe more gameplay of his "Testers" playing with a coconut.
