Dead Rising 3 ViDoc - "Zombie Apocalypse Evolved "

I also gave up on DR2 due to the bosses, and I play everything on hard or higher. The chef boss for example would toss out plates that would home in on you. Not sure why age matters but I'm 22.

Game was pretty terrible tbh.

DR2 is significantly easier than DR1, it baffles me that someone gives up for being too "difficult".

those explosion physics look so fucking good. look at that car tumble!

The grey and Capcoms attempt to attract the CoD crowd scares the shit out of me (hurrr) but damn does this game really want to make me get an Xbone. I must stay strong though.

Looks better than the E3 demo but I still don't like the setting. It's just a generic open world city... I guess they can brag that the world is bigger than the first two games but I don't really care. The mall from the first game was fun and funny and well detailed.

i'd wait to see more before making that argument. we know for instance that there is a full mall in DR3 as well. also, weve only seen a portion of a single district. there are 4, each with their own tone

This obsession with the colour is both hilarious and silly.

Even DR1 didn't have colour everywhere. I'm talking about most of the mall. The game is offering a city not a mall or casino with bright lights everywhere to explore. I like the art direction it's showing. it looks like we've only seen the inglewood area so far and there are four distinctive parts of the city from looking at the map and am sure the colour fans can go and see the primary colours at the mall and museums in the century city part of the map.

Coming off of State of Decay the frame rate looks fantastic. Haha You'll see me in all the "60fps rules!" threads but sadly I'm used to sub par frame rates in open world games on consoles.
BF4 and DR3 at launch for me. After hardly turning on my systems this summer I'm going to be in gaming overload this fall.

Looks awesome period based on the amount of shit going on at once. No clue why people are expecting jaw dropping graphics.

In the screenshot posted above. Look how much color there is.

For me, it's what's been shown so far has been devoid of it and them actually saying "we're going after the COD crowd".

People constantly say that gameplay matters much more than graphics -- especially self-professed "true gamers" -- but this thread is further evidence that many of them are full of shit.

It's subjective, of course, but that looked like fun, inventive gameplay, yet tons of people are complaining about the color palette? Seriously?

I'm not shelling out 60$+ when devs can't be bothered to use a color palette that requires basic knowledge. Graphics do matter, not as much as gameplay. I'm not spending that kind of money on something that isn't visually appealing.

People need to find something to bitch about. They keep bringing up some dev saying they want to appeal to the "COD crowd" but none of the gameplay looks COD-ish in the least, it's classic DR with all of the silliness intact. Now people are complaining about the color pallet as if the last two games were super saturated in the first place. Even then DR1 was in a mall and DR2 took place in "NotLas Vegas" . If Capcom decides to turn up the saturation on this game they will find some other shallow crap to bitch about.

The fuck does that have to do with graphics?

Heaven forbid we're not fans of the color pallete of a SEQUEL to a game that had zany graphics and colorful environments.

What was so "zany" about the graphics in DR? I played both of them and it didn't look all that whimsical to me. Most of the silliness as i remember came from what the player did in the game. Wearing stupid costumes , killing zombies in funny ways, etc. Seems all of that is still in.

Can't the devs do something like Gears of War 1 color filters? Was strange how Epic removed them from the sequels.

It's more in line with shitting everything XBO related

When your complaint about a game is the color palette.... IMO the devs must be doing a pretty good job. What are we...5 year olds? lol... ALL of the goofy gameplay seems to be still there.

Holy crap it looks fun. With the addition of open world+cars it's like Saints Row-level madness. Not sure if I overlooked the early videos or if they're showing more now, but I like it.

Everything they're doing sounds fine, but judging by this video, the graphics engine really has zero impact. The only impressive element is the lighting, everything else looks mediocre at best.

Why can't the 360 handle this?

I have no doubt the game will be fun but if we don't like the art direction change it means we're 5?

No loading is massive in a game like this...also hopefully less respawning zombies would be nice.

Shame this is Xbone exclusive...hopefully they'll wake up and price drop so I can afford one
