Dead Space 2 - Multiplayer trailer [Update: GTTV Episode Added]

I'm surprised they didn't go the RE5 route and make the whole campaign be co-op. This mode looks like it'll be awesome regardless.
 
No disrespect to the people who made the trailer but, as usual, the people who make stuff like scripted MP trailers do not understand what MP gamers really want to see. Very little if anything really is shown about how it actually plays from that footage.

Hopefully in the very near future we'll see some raw footage.

Short version, the game itself destroys the trailer.

I'd be very pissed off if they did that. Forced co-op is one of the worst things to come out of this gen.

Neat addition. Not sure how or why everyone is in that engineer suit though. Do they not bring space marines onto these missions? Yes' I'm asking for space marines.

Didn't look like some sort of mission... just a bunch of engineers stranded trying to survive.
 
According to GTTV, they are security suits. So they can be space marines, just using suits built off rig tech.

The song is actually Glasgow Mega-Snake. One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands. So very good.

If it feels right, I could get just as addicted to this as I did with Left 4 Dead. Consider me excited.
 
I was hoping the human-controlled Necromorphs would've been unique. Looks like they're just the same as the regular ones.
 
Graphics sure took a beating for the MP - looked like the first game. L4D-esque gameplay but doesn't see that hot. I wonder if players are going to be pissed getting stuck in statis every time.
 
in theory i like what they're going for here but unless the NM have very different play-styles i don't think it'll be all that great.

one of the best parts about versus in L4D is in how you set up traps using the various strengths and weaknesses of a given SI loadout.

hopefully a similar setup is achieved in DS2.

Personally I'd rather it just be a SP-only game, but I just won't bother with MP, so those who want it can enjoy it all they want. I'll buy it just for the SP.
