I feel bad for him. I think he has a right to be that upset given all the hard work he poured into writing that script. It would feel like betrayal for someone you entrust the script to, to leak it for the world to see. I'm not an artist, but when I create something and I put effort in it, there is a sense of vulnerability when people start to look at your work. I'm sure for QT, the script is just the a small % of what he wants people to see. And it sucks that it's out there far before completion of his vision.

Who cares in all honesty? I'm still a QT fan, but he's become quite the drama queen over the years, and from the title of this, it sounds like it'd be yet another revenge film for the umpteenth time. He needs to stop making period pieces and get back to modern times.

I'd also like to see him go back to doing something a bit more contemporary.

Following up Django with a western doesn't exactly get my film nerd juices flowing.

So where's this leak?

The earliest article I can find concerning "The Hateful Eight" is from 10 days ago, so I'm assuming the person who revealed the title must have also revealed the script.

This whole story sounds kind of bizarre. You don't hear stuff like this going public too often. It just strikes me as... off.

Can't say I'd be upset if this got canned; we just got Django. While it's more South than West, I'd rather see him do something new, maybe in the same vein as Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, or Jackie Brown. It'd be pretty nice to see movies like those made today.

God I want Kill Bill Vol. 3

I like an engaged and inspired QT. He makes good things to look at.

He should have done it old school. 3 Fake scripts with different details, to catch whoever the mole is. Then cut off the ears of whoever broke bond.

Could you imagine him doing science fiction movie?

Like a legit mindfuck type of science fiction. Honestly I want him to take a stab at that. Fueled by cocaine.

Hope he still makes this or another western. Django was his best movie and Hollywood lacks western anyway nowadays.

Not me, sucks that this shit happens to him but good. I would like to see him do a different genre other than a Western again.

"I gave it to one of the producers on Django Unchained, Reggie Hudlin, and he let an agent come to his house and read it," Tarantino said. "That’s a betrayal, but not crippling because the agent didn’t end up with the script. There is an ugly maliciousness to the rest of it. I gave it to three actors: Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Tim Roth. The one I know didn’t do this is Tim Roth."

Joe: He was the only one I wasn't 100% on. I should have my fuckin' head examined, going on a plan like this when I wasn't 100%.

Mr. White: [shouting] That's your proof?

Joe: You don't need proof when you have instinct.

IT WAS TIM ROTH!!!

I want to infect him with malaria and lock him in a cage suspended over tigers or locusts, and only give him water dosed with pharmacy grade lsd, and see what he comes up with.

Morricone doesn't even want to work with QT anymore. QT's westerners are shit without Morricone's music.

Ugh, well this sucks. Django was my favorite movie of 2012 and was looking forward to this. Though at the same time QT going in another direction, as opposed to back to back (spaghetti) westerns, is welcome too.

“I am not talking out of both sides of my mouth, because I do like the fact that everyone eventually posts it, gets it and reviews it on the net,” Tarantino said. “Frankly, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I like the fact that people like my shit, and that they go out of their way to find it and read it. But I gave it to six motherfucking people! Starting this week, I’ll be setting meetings with publishers.”

Sounds like a real kick in the dick.

Too bad, this is going to make things slower and I want to see his now movie asap.
Maybe he could direct a movie about scripts leaking?

Sorry, but I'm with QT on this one. He wrote a script and gave it to people who he considered trustworthy and wanted in the film and they betrayed that trust. Why shouldn't he be pissed off? I know I would. I say name names and make sure the industry knows that certain people cannot be trusted with your work.

I loved the scene in Entourage when Ari loses the M. Night script at a valet service at a restaurant, realizing that M. Night has watermarked his name on every page.

The clown who gave this up is probably feeling pretty stupid right now. Too bad about the movie, I look forward to seeing what he does next.
