I really love this album except for Superliminal. I dont know what it is, I've tried multiple times to try and get into it but it always winds up being the repetive white noise before Channel 42 properly kicks the album off.

Other than that one track, its pretty ace though

one of the greatest reviews I've ever read for an album tbh

Really? It sounds to me like it was written by a 4chan troll with his rage face on.

"EDM, the basic, lifeless kind; the tech/house version, not a genre but a vortex of mundane inanity; is here to stay. The money men will see to that"

A music reviewer trying to write off an entire genre reeks of cynicism for the sake of sounding hip.

"The youth utopia? The “world that the children made”? 20 odd years ago, maybe. This time it’s made by c**ts, like Joel Zimmerman."

So now he's a cunt? Fuck off, this reviewer is absolutely pathetic.

I was being hyperbolic, but yes, I do believe this review is hilarious and on point. He writes off that branch of EDM for good measure; it's terribly bland and unoriginal. The "cunts" bit at the end is a little too far, I agree with you there.

Tech/house is such a massive branch of EDM only a moron would write the entire branch off as bland. You know what the D in EDM stands for yeah?

I'm digging this album, been bumping it for a week or so. And lol @ anyone bitching about the lack of dubstep in it. It has a nice variety of sounds to it which is rare in the EDM world.

And wow that review is ridiculous. By the end of it I'm not sure he had any axe left to grind.

Yep. He didn't really review much of the album, basically just used it as an excuse to take a dump on Deadmau5 and the electronic music that's coming from the US. Dude has a soapbox higher than that building in Dubai.

I don't like Deadmau5 as much as the next dude (No Pressure, Coffee etc. are great, though) but that guy just sounds like a pretentious, chin-stroking douche who has nothing better to do than complain about the state of music today (and how it was probably much better when he was younger). If music is so shit now, maybe he could produce better stuff?

Ugh.

this guy hasn't a fucking clue what tech-house is. it's certainly not this progressive house track "the veldt" (which sounds like recycled/unused sounds from his collab with kaskade).

on that subject, does this dude really have to be such a try-hard with his album and song titles? just pick interesting names man, we get that you're an internaut who knows how to make music already.

edit: this maths track is dated as shit. 2007 vibes all up ins.

Yeah, it's as if no-one had done that sort of stuff before.

Really dig this album, sucks about the Cypriss Hill song though. Seems like he remembers being a big fan in HS or something, he could've gotten whoever he wanted to rap on that song.

Worth a listen... for whom? Truth bombs regarding what exactly?

I find it hard to believe that anything he'd say in an interview wouldn't make him out to be some holier-than-thou nerd who still exhibits the social skills and demeanor of someone with Aspberger's.
