Is it wrong that I'm considering importing this even though I can't actually play the game due to the region lock?
I'm a sucker for nice bonus items and companies that treat their fans well. And if Aksys pick up more Cave stuff in the future I'll be kicking myself if I import a US 360 to play them only to find out this sells for $100+ used.

So basically, if you want this game in English it's the US import or nothing at all.

The case seems to be that an EU publisher could easily buy the rights and Cave want to market their games to countries other than the US, but it comes down to people informing potential publishers (eg. 505 or Rising Star) that they want to buy Deathsmiles and asking for the publisher to buy the rights to it.

Amazon is nice and all but Deathsmiles is a Day 1 game. I'll have to go with Gamestop =/.

This is probably one of my least favorite Cave games though, doesn't really have any good bullet patterns and I think the bosses are pretty weak. Are you sure you can't play this on a J360? I thought other NA Aksys-published games like Guilty Gear 2: Overture and BlazBlue worked fine on J360s; they were only region locked from PAL systems.danmaku said:

Oh man. I'm already going to be embarrassed to pick up my Record of Agarest preorder and now this lol-fest. This looks pretty good though, love these type of shooters and that faceplate looks really sweet. I might have to do Amazon on this one, at least the shipping guy can't see through the amazon box.
