About the scoring system, my advice would be to play some more. It's not as simple as Mushi, but it's very fun once you get the hang of it. Filling the screen with bouncing golden skulls in power up mode is fantastic
the only drawback (at least in vanilla DS) is that if you are playing for score, the game becomes very unforgiving: if you fuck up even a single recharge trick, your run is screwed. From what I read, 1.1 and MBL seem a bit more flexible (in DS 1.0 you can't activate power up mode unless you counter is at 1000).About difficulty: at rank 1 is very easy, but rank 3 is much more difficult. And if you choose rank 3 for more than 4 stages, death mode will be activated (and this means: suicide bullets!).

Kinda wondering why I'm paying for a game I already have, but at least I get a new shiny faceplate out of it! Too bad I like my EspGaluda II one more, so it will stay on there. :lol

I can't wait to play this, I loved playing it when I tried it at Arcade UFO in Austin.. I just want to see what they have in store, if anything for future Cave releases.. I'm hesitant to import Galuda 2 just because of the possibility, the slight possibility that it would be released here, as well as wanting Ketsui to really show up here <stupid region locking>

It doesn't matter what was spent on the Japanese edition. That is irrelevant. Bottom line is that we are getting the game with its expansion for $50. What is more, this one version will last for posterity since it is the NA version and will be playable on more systems in the future. It is worth it for that alone.

Just noticed that the boss achievements don't trigger in 1.1 mode. I hope I don't have to play the actual "arcade" mode for them to unlock. I prefer the HD graphics if possible.
