I watched the Kobe interview on PTI last night, and he needs to seriously reconsider these interviews. Fire his agents!
Now mind you, Tony and Wilbon were asking some pretty stupid questions like, "What do you regret?" and "What would you say to Shaq?" C'mon guys, don't ask such loaded questions.
But Kobe's answers were pathetic. When asked about Malone, Shaq, Phil, other players in the league, the bad press, he was like, "Uh, hmm, I don't know, it was blown out of proportion." I lost count at how many time he had that response. Then when asked about if he ran Phil and Shaq out of L.A. (of course what is he supposed to say), he completely denied it and said he had nothing to do with it.
I don't think these PR interviews are going to help him at all. He looked extremely uncomfortable during the whole thing.
But, he did mention Loki. When asked about the Karl drama, he said that he never mentioned it publically, that it was Malone who made it public. He then said that all of this is in interviews and that he could show them [Loki's] tapes. It was hilarious.

Besides Kobe said he wants to apologize to Shaq. The Heat have not given Shaq an extension yet and Shaq is a free agent next year.
Which all leads to Konex's worst nightmare, Shaq is going to come back to LA next year!

You have to remember all of those Shaq questions are dicey because they involve sealed testimony that is part of ongoing litigation. Still, you are right that his answers were not very eloquent. Whoever his people are right now, he needs to ditch them and get someone better. Even with all of the legal stuff aside, they should have been able to come up with a better coached answer then what he gave them. Kobe is definitely capable of being more eloquent then this though, I think he was being careful of what he couldn't say.
I know Kobe can be very eloquent, that's why I was a little surprised at how bad he looked. That's also why I think these PR interviews are a bad idea right now. If I were him, I would definitely try to get my side of the Malone/wife issue out. However, he has to know that people are going to ask about Shaq and Phil. Now Kobe is clearly in the wrong with ratting out Shaq and is pretty much responsible for Shaq and Phil leaving. It doesn't take a professional interrogator to see that Kobe was BS'ing his answers. His constant eye-shifting, body movement, completely ignoring questions and giving a semi-standard blanket answer of everything being blown out of proportion. But maybe he could just say something to the effect that there is an ongoing litigation and that he shouldn't talk about certain matters until it's over. I mean, what's the point of doing interviews if you're only going to say, "I don't really want to talk about that," or "that's between me and him"? I just don't see how it can help.bionic77 said:

The Bulls aren't looking half bad as of late actually. Plus Curry seems to be showing signs of life. But we all know that can be erased in a matter of a couple of games.

The NBA regular season is pretty boring for the good teams (damn I remember when the Lakers were a good team). You know they are going to make it, it is only a matter of what seed they will get and even homecourt doesn't seem to matter that much anymore. The only ones who are going to get excited over the regular season are people who get excited by stats or the people with teams on the playoff bubble.
Obviously we need to fill in the rest of the season with the absurdities of NBA players going hungry or hunting hot Mexican girls.

Now if I were a fan of an Eastern Conference team, or the Rockets, I would stab myself in the eyes rather than watch multiple regular season games.

I don't know. I can't get excited over NBA games until the NFL season is over. Even when the Lakers were good I only half paid attention until after the Steelers were eliminated. I have seen so many Lakers teams that had great regular season choke in the playoffs. To me the NBA regular season is just glorified practice.

Simmons is just another Kobe-hating 'tard. I do agree that they need to run more plays for Lamar though. Hell, Rudy needs to run more plays period. All they do in half-court sets is isos or pick and pops/rolls. P-R-E-D-I-C-T-A-B-L-E!!! Get some motion into the offense!!!! Run Kobe and Caron off screens. Anything!!!! >_<

As I've said before, it's their REBOUNDING and TOUGHNESS that is making all the difference. They lead the leauge in offensive rebounding, and guess what that enables them to do? Fire up more shots.
