If Kobe continues at this rate--playing 5 on 1 for 40 minutes a night--think how tired and burnt out he will be by the time the playoffs start. The mind boggles.

Steve Francis is warming up Kobe's seat at the NBA Draft Lottery.
 
They need to activate Bobbit and maybe he can give some help defensively at the point. Kobe is playing to many minutes and tonight he was setting the table for everyone and it seems like he didn't even try to play defense till the 4th tonight -_-

How do I know this? Well, besides Hughes going OFF, Kobe had ONE personal foul in 50 minutes!!! O_o He didn't bring it on the other end tonight...not that any other Laker did :(

Elgin, I'm sorry, I'm saving that seat for Kobe. Mitch Kupchak told him he could draft all gay guys so nobody would be hitting on his wife.

Not even the 5-on-1 stuff (I don't think Kobe's been too selfish this year, considering), but just the ridiculous amount of minutes he's logging-- he's gonna burn himself out, though the extra minutes will help (certain of) his stats. :P


EDIT: Konex, is that the baseline drive and reverse from tonight's game? If so, I saw it, but thanks for the heads-up. :P It was a great move. I have to be choosey about my downloads, since I'm on dialup. :P

By the way, scoring is way, way, way up this year. You know why? Because the refs aren't allowing defenders to manhandle perimeter players. Thus you get a bunch of teams (Suns, Sonics, Wizards, Orlando are good examples) who are playing a lot like teams in the 80s (when scoring was much higher) did, ie penetration by 2-3 guys, motion offenses, running the break etc.

Cos Arenas and Hughes DESTROYED the Lakers zone defense. I know the interior defense is pretty weak with Grant and Vlade out but why the hell is Rudy playing 2-3 on jump-shooting teams? *faints*

And I really, really wish I could have watched the Suns-Sonics game last night.

The Suns got lucky. They're not a good matchup for Seattle at all but how the hell do you win with 7 points 3 rebs and 3 assts off the bench :lol

No, overcoming being picked by you is not "luck," but a feat of Herculean proportions, as your Lakers can attest to.

Also, in case you haven't noticed, the Suns have one of the best Starting Five in the league, it's not exactly luck to win when you rely on your best players, unless you're LA.

We "talked" about it. Mostly it was just me freaking the hell out. It'll be interesting to see what he has to say when he finally talks, and it'll be interesting to see how the Mourning situation resolves itself.

OMG, the blazers game was so good, they had a 15 point lead but like always they lost it, and at the end it was VERY close, they won by 1, thank god :)
