Sheesh, I was just bored...and it WAS seriously dead in this topic last night; it only picked up while I was typing that post, so I had no idea. :)

Just messing with you loki... Wasn't really directed toward you anyways oh wait yes it was :P

I also have a Jordan fun fact.

Pippen was able to go further in the playoffs without Jordan then Jordan was ever able to go without Pippen.

Pippen > Jordan

:D

Kobe >>> Pipen > Jordan

fixed

Fuck...we've been Konexed.

The Rockets look like the teams at my local YMCA running it down the floor. Donyell is owning Yao...who has a full 7 inches on him.

Oh man, Iverson puts up back-to-back 50's and now has to sit out the final seconds of the game with no chance to be the hero. Sucks. :(

Iverson joins Jordan as the only player in the last 25 years to put up back-to-back 50+ games more than once (this is AI's second time doing so; MJ did it three times, but one of those three times was 3 straight games of 50+: 53, 50, and 61 points in 3 consecutive games). Still, Iverson's crazy for a little bugger... :D

I agree with you 100%.

Fuck this shit. We just had to face them on the one night when T mac and Yao work perfectly together as a duo, scoring 30+ each. Oh yeah, and the Bulls are going to beat the Blazers. I'm having a ton of fun. Nice way to spend your evening....watch the Raptors lose. I'm starting to get into this routine.

I've been waiting 7 years to have SOMETHING to cheer about for the Bulls. I doubt I will ever become as big a fan though.

Yup. Please tell me this means we'll have two good teams in Chicago (Cubs, Bulls). I don't want to get my hopes up though!

4 IN A ROW!! THE GLORY DAYS ARE BACK!

:(

Hey, don't forget about the Bears D!...next year. :-(

Yeah the Bears D is ace but the offense sux! :( :(

Please oh please let Grossman be the real deal. If he can run this offense and the Bears become good that could be THREE good Chicago teams at one time potentially: Cubs, Bulls, Bears. It would be too much!

Wtf, this isn't the NFL thread! Sure seeing a lot of new faces after the Bulls win....Hopefully you'll stick around if your team drops a few.

YES!!!! THE BULLS ARE BACK!!!!

Bulls are not back until I support them.

And I'm not supporting them until the Seeds of Krause are GONE!

Until then, the Bulls mysteriously vanished in January 1999.

Nice game by Gordan. And 2 good games by Curry? O_O

CHICAGO (AP) -- The way the Chicago Bulls are playing these days, they don't need much luck. Ben Gordon thinks they got some anyway.

With Michael Jordan in attendance, Gordon scored nine of his 23 points in the fourth quarter and Chicago beat the Portland Trail Blazers 92-87 on Monday night for their fourth consecutive victory.

``Maybe he gave us some luck today getting our fourth win. It hasn't happened since he's been here, so that's a real good thing,'' Gordon said.

Eddy Curry added 18 points and Kirk Hinrich 17 for Chicago, which has won four straight for the first time since Jordan's 1998 championship team won 13 in a row.

Jordan received a loud standing ovation when he appeared on the jumbotron before the start of the fourth quarter, and the Bulls used the energy to their advantage.

It's a sign from God. :O

He's saying...return home? :o

That is weak you can't root for the Bulls without Jordan. Most Laker fans stuck with the Lakers post HIV-Magic and hell we cheered even louder when fat HIV-Johnson came back (or when he failed as a coach).

There was a time when Nick Van Exel was my favorite player!

I was rooting for the Bulls without Jordan, but when Krause traded away Elton Brand and Ron Artest even though it was obvious they were 2 great players it took a lot out of me. So I boycotted the Bulls since then. It's still hard for me to root for them seeing Curry and Chandler out there, displaying everything I hate about today's young NBA players. But if Jordan can do it, so can I!

Van Exel is one of the top 4 clutch players of the last decade imo, along with Jordan, Reggie Miller, and Kobe. At one time, Nick was an offensive juggernaut, and a decent passer those rare times he was feeling generous. :D He was a defensive liability, however.

Well, the fg% is a bit misleading since he forced up 3 3s in the last few seconds and 2 to beat the shot clock earlier. Just a horrible game all round though...

This team is addicted to 3s. Down by 5 with 4 minutes to go. Everything was 3 till the game got out of reach. Ridiculous...

K. Bryant: 2-16, 11 points

Ouch. :D

He's lucky he just squeaked over the double-digit mark due to those FT's near the end. :lol

He's at .395% for the year, bionic-- your time's running out! :P

Err, he was 2-13 prior to those threes at the end-- nice try at damage control, though. :D

Again, gotta love the "but he tried to beat the shot clock and had to shoot at the end of the game!" excuses-- as if no other superstar except Kobe has had their FG% adversely affected by such occurrences. :lol Lame. :P

Nick at Nite was the shit when he was younger. I still have his Laker jersey. Then he became all whiney and shit and got traded, and proceeded to get fat and become a role/bench player.

What a pathetic display by the Lakers tonight.... >_<

I told you on AIM your precious Fakers would lose and the Rockets would win...you truly do know how to curse teams :D

Yeah, but didn't that all start when he hurt his knee in Dallas? The fat part, not the whiny part-- he was always a cranky bitch. :D

I want selfish Kobe back. He is passing too much early and trying to save them at the end with terrible shots. And they need to quit jacking up 3s. What a foolish group of players they were tonight :(

Read my post again...

Read my post again about how cries of "he was up against teh shotclock!" are lame. L-A-M-E. :D

Ok, even if we discount those 2 attempts (which I'm not doing-- Jordan would've likely been a career 54% shooter if they didn't throw him the ball like a hot potato EVERY time the shotclock was winding down over his career and at the end of games etc.)-- still, if we take away those 2 attempts and the three 3's at the end, he was 2-11. Nothing to write home about. :P

Be happy he cracked 10 points, though-- he can still break Jordan's record for consecutive games in double-digits! :D It'll take about 7 more years, but the streak is alive! :P

"2-16"

"THAT'S MISLEADING! HE WAS REALLY ONLY 2-13!"

I wonder if KOBEX keeps his own separate FG% for Kobe that excludes all last-minute shots and shots that were really close to going in, and shots that he feels Kobe probably missed on purpose.

This Just In:

Kobe's FG% is really 92%!

Thank you for watching

:lol

That's what I'm saying. :D

Konex makes his own rules when judging Kobe's performance, both in general and relative to other players. Man, Konex is gonna have a blast now with you on break (I presume) for a bit and me starting my break after this thursday-- there's no escape for Konex! His illogical ramblings shall be held up to the light of truth and justice! :D
