Don't both teams use the same ball(s)?
I never said they shouldn't be punished. I didn't even infer it, I said they cheated. I just said the Colts suck regardless. You don't punish the result, you punish the cheating. If they would have won anyway, they cheated. Even if they lost, they cheated.
So I guess the question now becomes, was it intentional or accidental?
There should already do that for the other ones.
Win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat. - Jesse Ventura
By that thinking you have to be rather dense to think they were the only ones to ever do it.Also if it was intentional then it's also possible that they've done it in the past. I mean I doubt you just come up with that right before a championship game.
Huh, there you go. Good the other team can swap them out.Home team supplies baseballs, but anyone on either side or officials can ask for a new ball pretty much at any time.

I hate seattle and I just realized I am now forced to root for them.
Fuck it, I'm in the "cancel the Super Bowl" camp.
That's bullshit. Remember that kick vinateri missed in the 1st. With a deflated ball, he might have made it. Changes the momentum of the game. Maybe Andrew throws a better deep ball with a 2lb lighter ball? Fuck the Patriots.Funny thing is it didn't even matter. Colts wouldn't have won anyways.
The allegation is that they underinflated their own balls. That's bullshit. Remember that kick vinateri missed in the 1st. With a deflated ball, he might have made it. Changes the momentum of the game. Maybe Andrew throws a better deep ball with a 2lb lighter ball? Fuck the Patriots.
But now the question arises is if this was the first time? Given this organizations history I would bet not.Funny thing is it didn't even matter. Colts wouldn't have won anyways.

That's what I am wondering. Doesn't seem to be an advantage/disadvantage for only one team since they are both playing with it. Either benefits or doesn't from whatever is wrong with their balls.Don't both teams use the same ball(s)?

Bingo. It's the equivelent of a stockbroker with inside information about a stock. You know, so you can build your gameplan around how to take advantage of that while everyone else lacks that information so you gain a competitive advantage. Why do people make the point that both teams used the same ball? Only the team that knows the ball is deflated will know to take advantage of the ball being deflated and run their plays based on the ball being deflated,
I have to imagine it's not exactly simple or cheap as you possibly have to bribe refs.
Brady prefers throwing deflated footballs. What does this mean? I don't watch football. Wouldn't that make them harder to throw?
What will Goodell do?
So now they bribed refs?! The leaps in logic here are amazing when it comes to the Pats.
Wouldn't under inflated balls actually have hurt the pats in this matchup? Their strategy was to run and take away Luck's passing game, but under inflated balls would help Luck, in theory.
maybe now the nfl will stop letting teams bring their own balls. that's something i have never understood.
