First I've heard of it and I like what I see. Art and animations are very well done and the gameplay feels like a well done AAA game from SNES-PS1 era.

This is really well done! Thank you for sharing this! Man... that Secret of Mana feeling in terms of the aesthetics! :O

This game is really awesome.
I recommend EVERYBODY to try it out.

If you're playing it in Chrome you can also use a 360 controller, the game will detect it automatically.

The team behind this game (Radical Fish Games) are some of my closest friends, so please give it a shot and see if you like it. It's one of those gams that can give you a serious nostalgia boner for SNES RPGs.

I witnessed this game being made from the very start (and kinda even before that, when the basic concept of the ball throwing mechanic was still a tech demo made with the RPG Maker 2000).

Played a bit.

Seems fun. The character portraits are a little bad, but the environments and character models look good enough.

Battle system I'm half and half. The melee seems fun, the shooting seems less fun (it's probably just a matter of getting used to it, but idk, didn't play much).

Overall, if it's not very long I could see myself getting the full game when it releases.

I also played it with K&M, and I don't like doing that, so maybe a controller would be better for me =P, will try it out again later.

Is there an option to change the attack and dodge buttons? I don't really want to be using a trackpad for those.

Pretty amazing that this was all done using HTML5 though.

Really solid feel to it. What's the story with this? Strictly a browser based game or can we expect some kind of console/steam release?

Not sure how mouse aiming is gonna work on a non-MKB context, but then again dual stick shooters have been a thing since forever.

Holy shit this is awesome.....is it too early to ask for a Vita release?
I can tell you there is a 99.9999999999% chance that there will be no Vita release.
I would like to tell you more but I don't think I'm allowed to.

There may be an announcement for specific platform release(s) in the future.
PC will be one of the obvious ones, seeing as this works with HTML5.

Really fun game the puzzle mode surprised me it was so fun and interesting. The combat is also fun and the exploration mode was great it was were I spent the most time playing. I played about 3 hours in the game modes available. Although I was was not able to find 2 of the chests hidden in the exploration mode; one of the two chest holds a secret key I will have to look for it when I wake up if my save still shows up. Also I notice the you could fall through the level around the bottom right where you fight the
blue hedgehog
.

I really liked it! Great music, great animations (I liked the fact the grass moved when I walked through it lol). I also dig the combat, feels very satisfying. Melee a bit more than shooting, but still very fun. Keeping my eye on this. :)

After FNAF, I think this one will be my second indie game that I am going to buy full price.

It is so well done...my god : D

Wow, this is really good. Setting is quite interesting too. The art style grew up on me a lot. Only thing is that it runs at like 10 FPS on my computer, but a non-browser version should be fine.

What browser do you use?
Chrome is recommended.
Opera will probably work too.
Firefox might have some problems.
Don't know about Internet Explorer.

Also do you play in Low-Res or High-Res mode?
For obvious reasons you should try Low-Res if you haven't already and report back.

I played on Chrome. I just tried again in low-res and indeed the game played much more smoothly, around 25-30fps I'd estimate. I'll give exploration mode a try later today, thanks a lot!

Oh, a couple things you could pass on to the devs. In the main menu, the cycle order of items 2 and 3 (puzzle and exploration) is switched around, so that if you use the cursor keys or gamepad to navigate it, you go from story to exploration when you press down, then up to puzzle when you press down again. Also, in the exploration mode tutorial you are prompted to press the Y button to open the menu, but it seems it's Back (Select) that does it.

Actually had the time to play it from start to end and then some.

Very simple yet effective basics. Definitely watching.

Wait, was the download link always there? I might have missed it on my hurry to play it, heh.

I just downloaded and tried it for a bit, and it's buttery smooth, 60fps with no tearing! This really shows off the great animation and makes it feel even more SNES-like. I'm going to spend some quality time with the exploration mode right now.

Oh, bug report #2: in the demo, the "exit" button is clickable but you can't reach it with a controller (it loops from the penultimate button to the first).

Does this work on ps4/xbone browsers, or is there a plan to support them? I'd imagine they're too limited to support something like this, but, that'd be cool.

Game is amazing. Love the gameplay, visuals, attention to detail, everything. I was particularly impressed by the AI pathing, after seeing them follow complex paths including jumps to reach me. The MMO tropes they borrowed like aggro and health regenerating outside of combat work very well too.

Further bug reporting: Upon completing puzzle mode, the screen fades to black and stays black, forcing to Alt-F4 to exit.

Also, not strictly a bug perhaps, bu the
crab boss rematch in exploration mode
can't be exited until you complete it, forcing you to retry over and over: not a good thing if you activate it while being low level and having it one-shot you with most attacks. You can't save either, so unless you manage to beat the boss, you lose all progress since your last save.

Passed both of these through to the devs.

No. Or at least not yet.
As far as I (and the devs) know neither Sony nor Microsoft have that kind of support for their browsers or at least some kind of web framework like, for example, Nintendo has.
So as long as that's not a thing, Cross Code on consoles sadly won't be a thing. (That includes handhelds, obviously)

I guess it goes without asking, but just in case, there's no release timeframe for the full game, is there?

I don't think there's an estimated release date yet.

Aside from that, it would be nice if any of you guys could vote for this game on indiedb.com:

Also, take a small glance at the "Platforms" category for a little surprise confirmation :)
Wii U confirmed! But it's not 100% sure yet, as far as I know.

Did my part!

I really enjoyed the demo (only played story) and looking forward to the full release.

Do yourself a favor and play at least the exploration mode. I enjoyed it even more than story, the setting is beautiful, and it has a lot of meat. Puzzle mode is short but sweet, I enjoyed the final fight.

Wow, no replies since last year for such an awesome game?

There's a demo on Steam for CrossCode and I played it. Amazing. It completely caught me off guard. Usually when I download an indie RPG of any type, I stop playing. Not so this time. You can tell this game has a very keen overall design and it's just so damn fun to play. Apparently it's not coming out until the first half of 2016 but that's not too bad I guess.

Please play the free demo either in your web browser or download it on Steam -- it's well worth your time.
