3. Fracture the Democratic Party by broadly supporting the Clinton camp’s attempts to smear Bernie Sanders and his supporters.

Some massive projection going on here. I read daily smears of Clinton on the web and in my feed, building on innuendo and implications made by Bernie himself. He's all but said she takes bribes.

I think most Bernie supporters would still vote for Hillary to keep any of the republican mad men off the executive power. Even Bernie has been up front on that issue.

Also, I think I'm in a parallel universe in which we got shilling for Bernie articles

I'm not too surprised this is on Huffpost. They seem to have one of these about once a week or so but have you guys been over to Salon lately? Every day is a new hit piece on Hillary by some Sanders supporter. I thought this was originally from there to be honest.

I mean I get that they're enthused about Bernie but holy fuck balls Batman!

I'm kinda disgusted to be honest because the writers of these articles are doing a great job of trying to turn voters entirely against Hillary. Mostly with nothing substantiative. They want Bernie to win but if he loses, which at this point is almost certain, do they want Hillary to lose too? WTF?!

5. Fail to nominate their most popular candidate, in particular the one with the best chance of beating Ted Cruz or John Kasich in the fall.

9. Over-rely on the national media to set the political narrative for the campaign season, further alienating voters who want to vote for a candidate with vision.

guys, i'm really confused as to which candidate they're talking about here. it's clinton, right?

Step 1: Choose Bernie Sanders as the nominee.

Step 2: Wait for the GOP to bring up the Soviet honeymoon, support for leftist leaders, massive tax increases, etc. and watch even the biggest Trump hater vote for the guy who won't send their taxes to the moon and force us all to work on collective farms. (Yeah, I know, but we *are* talking about the GOP here...)

Only the most deluded Bernie supporter could look at that 10-point list with a straight face and say 'yeah, that's going to cost us the election!'

Are we still in the denial state, or have we moved on to depression/bargaining yet? Anger's been a constant throughout.

I don't think I can roll my eyes any harder.

Get on LL's level

But ultimately, I think Hillary has the general in the bag, unless there is a Islamic terror attack on US soil.

People keep saying that, but I'm not sure it would really hurt her. When things get scary do you want somebody like Hillary Clinton or a madman like Trump?

"When asked which candidate for president they would they want sitting in the Oval Office if there were a major terrorist attack on the U.S. today, 37 percent of registered voters said Clinton, 21 percent said Sanders, 15 percent said Trump, 9 percent said Cruz and 5 percent said Kasich."

So what you're saying is, it should be ok that hundreds of thousands of people are in jail or dead, families/communities ruined because... "Oops"? You mean to tell me that our illustrious leaders (and their wives) couldn't have foreseen, in these United States (with all its baggage), that their policy would disproportionately affect some over others? I, and I'm sure US history, would call BS. I should hope she wouldn't make the same "mistake" twice. Especially if she's gonna run down and chill with us again in 4 years when she needs some more votes.

Nah, I think she said it while callously aware of who she thought she was talking about. Knowing that she has a very strong chance at being one of a few politicians to be the next president, however, I hope that her visible "evolution" and more sensitive views are somewhere in range with her honest feelings and social awareness, just as much of society changes with exposure to issues over time. Knowing there are only a few possibilities of which candidates will be president, I try to pay attention to the ones saying they've learned and are willing to vocally say the direction they are moving toward over their career.

Is this a joke ?

Completely ignores

1) Cruz is just as equal of a disaster candidate as Trump

2) If Kasich becomes the nominee it means either we have literally witness a miracle and someone is going to be canonized as a saint or they completely stole the nomination from both Ted and Trump, creating GOP: Civil War.

If Bernie Sanders is the most popular candidate, why aren't more people voting in the primaries for him?

Because Hillary is the more "reasonable" vote. Her favorability ratings are almost as bad as Trump's. A historic low for both Trump AND Hillary.

You're ignoring that Hillary is very much liked by the democratic base, IE the primary voting block for... well the primaries.

But looking at 1988 and 1992, isn't this chart kind of meaningless? Bush and Clinton had lower favorability ratings at the time, and yet both ended up winning their elections.

Which means that, eventually, the most disliked Democratic candidate in recent history will run for president. Kinda proving the article's point. At least that one.

6 out of 8 right. Better than Pachter at least.

First off, they aren't freezing Bernie out, he's doing that himself.

Second, Trump will be the candidate, whether it says it next to his name on the ballot is irrelevant. Trump will run, he'll split the vote, Hill-dawg will cruise to an easy win.

If anything the Republicans are making it easier than ever to win, their party is destroyed, utterly, because of all this and I honestly doubt the GOP can recover if they ACTUALLY go forward with a brokered convention.

This just reads like yet another desperate flailing attempt by Bernie supporters to ignore the fact that he lost. He got less votes, he lost, accept it.
This.

Still rolling w/ my theory that the Clintons pushed Trump to run and piss off the GOP then go independent to split the vote and assure a Hilldawg victory.

Why the hell do so many articles insist on labeling Bernie as the true canidate of the Democratic party/the most electable/voice of the people. If any if that crap were true he wouldnt be trailing in delegates to an absurd degree.

He just wishes he was HA Goodman.

Cognitive dissonance, intellectual dishonesty, straight up delusion. There are lots of words for it.

Bernie (someone who was not a Democrat till last year) is insinuating that Hillary is corrupt and dishonest but it is Democrats fracturing the party.

Bernie is refusing to support and fund-raise for down-ballot candidates not Hillary.
