describe your perfect star wars game

A mix between this:

Plus:

- Original story from episode I to VII.
- Use of many characters.
- Spaceships stages.
- Battlefront graphics.

A smaller scale RPG by CDPR more Witcher 2 style zones/planet instead one huge world.

Deus Ex style Dark Forces game

Paradox grand strategy game in Star Wars universe starting from Phantom menace era to new Star Wars era.

Doesn't EA have exclusive rights to developing Star Wars games? I don't see them letting other devs have a go at the franchise anytime soon.

KOTOR 3, but with old Bioware. Not new EA Bioware, the old guys.

Obsidian works as well, but only if they get enough time and money.

Sequel to Dark Forces by DICE. 15-18 hour campaign, variety of settings (Tatooine, spaceship interiors, space stations, Hoth, so forth), with a variety of weapons.

I don't even care if there's MP. Just give me a compelling FPS with Frostbite engine that has a competent story and interesting level design.

Or just remake Dark Forces in Frostbite...

Jedi Academy style jedi combat with the duel mods incorporated into the main game and multiplayer, rebel strike gameplay on the ships, and battlefront style battles with republic comando gameplay: perfect!

Star Wars Galaxies with a fully-fledged X-Wing style space component (in other words - a better version of Jump To Lightspeed).

Witcher 3, but with multiple planets (say, ME-esque), where instead of Geralt, you're a character of your choosing. Jedi/Sith, Han Solo-types, etc. Some kind of space combat, too.

I'd love a 3rd person, witcher 3 style, action RPG, playing as a bounty hunter or smuggler in a big open world.

Bringing back 1313 would be nice as well, it looked great!

Edit: or make a bounty hunter game like batman/shadow of mordor

A real full fledged Pod Racer Game, with fully customizable Pod Racer, a Forza 2 like Decal System and a whole lot of different Tracks from all over the Star Wars Galaxy

1313 once we found out it was actually a Boba game

But really, I want a massive multi-planet open world bounty hunter or smuggler game with The Order graphics. I want a huge segment on Coruscant, Naboo, Tattooine where I can ride the deserts and see the towns, Endor, etc. all in sparkling meditative glory.

I want a a star wars online ARPG, complete with tons of different specs and explosions of loot. As a fan of Marvel Heroes, I sometimes think about how cool it would be to have a similar game in the Star Wars universe. There's lots of different combat styles in the major character archetypes. SWTOR touches on that, but I feel like an ARPG would potentially have more room to really explore and go wild with all the cool force powers, lightsaber attacks, and badass technology for non-force dudes.

"Not-latest-Battlefront"

Jokes aside - shooter with decent plot and likeable characters would do that for me perfectly. Republic Commando 2 anyone?

I would also be totally fine with some diablo-like SW game, no matter what time. Just let me to create my own characters. No, Uprising doesn't count it was made with mobile in mind and it is visible from the very beggining.

Well as we are talking about perfect situations:

A cinematic action RPG.
Cinematic because rather than big open worlds I'd like to see a more linear and focused game that every now and then gives you a cool setpiece moment or scripted event. For the level design I'd rather have the story take me to various unique locations all around the galaxy instead of just one or 2 big open areas. Also, a more linear game doesn't mean a straight line, you can still make exploration fun and rewarding (look at the level Design in something like Dark Souls)

Action because I'd like it to have action based combat. Jump around, use force push, counter enemies, etc

And RPG to have stuff like skill trees and different builds (single sword, dual wielding, focus on force powers, etc) and an interesting story with a Mass Effect/Witcher type of dialog tree. Would be interesting to see a character with force powers that isn't actually a Jedi or Sith.

A mix between Rogue Squadron and No Man's Sky where I can go from the surface of a planet, explore the entire planet, and then leave its atmosphere and travel to other planets and systems. It would be primarily aerial combat but exploration would be a big part of the game as well.

Just give it to Platinum. I don't even give a shit. All I care about in star wars is sick lightsaber fights, and P* will do them justice.

I would do unspeakable things for an open world bounty hunting game with real contracts and GTA like gameplay since you would be outside the law.

A character-driven singleplayer RPG similar to KOTOR (I now realize that we won't have a KOTOR 3 due to the changes in what's canon) with a combat that feels like a modern version of the Jedi Knight series, while not forgetting that it is still a RPG, which means that you will need to learn some abilities and tricks to be better.

In terms of writing, I feel like The Force Awakens will explore the grey area more than any other Star Wars movie to date, which was something that people responsible for handling the Expanded Universe didn't like in KOTOR 2. But, if Episode VII truly does that, than this new RPG game could do the same with free will. Make hard choices that affect both the world and the characters around you and how they see you.

Not a "chosen one" kind of story either. Sure, the main character should be important, but that can be done with a much bigger story and universe happening around them.

Make side quests at least related to the lore somehow and not just generic. In a way that it doesn't only reward you with XP points, but with a better knowledge of the universe itself and in ways that could affect your decisions in later quests.

The level design should be focused (not to be confused with linear). Don't create filler areas just to make it bigger. If a place doesn't feature much of the story, it can be isolated, with mysterious creatures to find and fighting/studying them can be helpful along the way.

But don't forget the humour either. This is important to Star Wars. There should be moments of laughter between the characters and areas filled with people just trying to get away from whatever is happening in the main story.

A Destiny type game with the SW license but better (more story, less grind).
