I'm sure they'll be a few more come October 24th...

I really want to play Destiny after the PC beta :(

But the P2W microtransactions w/ single use shaders and weapon mods that give barely noticable stat boosts that you can also earn in game guys /s

You can say a game is good and at the same time criticize aspects of it.

Crazy, I know.

i would like to see how many of them are on PS4 vs XB1

i'll be interested to see how many people are playing and the percentage per platform once PC has been out.

a lot of us are planning to move over to PC.

PC won't come close to console...or ps4. A lit of us is a small Amount you mean?

Consoles will probably still have the biggest userbase based on the series' history.
There's also a lot more competition on PC when it comes to shooters.

i never did say that PC would compare to console, did i?

well from what i've seen there are a lot of people planning to move to PC when it comes out. i'm not saying most people who are playing on console are moving.

ps4 will have the largest playerbase for sure.

I think the word of mouth about how it's Destiny 1 but less obtuse and grindy has been really beneficial. Destiny 1 had a HUGE launch but I feel like a lot of people checked out based on the discussion around the game in Fall 2014 and how many used copies I'd see at every game store. That amazing shooting just needed an equally amazing experience to support it. I'm interested to see how things will look in a month or two.

Good shit. Loving the PvE aspect of it...I even got my a couple of my family members to buy some Destiny PS4 Pro bundles.

I'm not sure how close PC will get to PS4 but I think it will do a lot more than most people expect it to.

i think launching on Blizzard's client is a good choice. This game is super addictive and I think a lot of people who enjoy games like Diablo, Overwatch, and Wow will enjoy Destiny 2. If they see it there on the client they might be tempted to try it out. I think it's the perfect fit. I do think it would do much better if it was on Steam though but I'm not worried about it being on Battle.net

Can we make multiple threads on this? Like, split it per platform, make new threads for every 100K people more playing? Or just every other day when there are still over 1 million people playing?

I kid I kid, both games deserve their succes.

1.2 million concurrent users already is extremely impressive. It doesn't take much of a stretch of the imagination to think that Destiny 2 is going to be a massive hit this year.

Myself, I am patiently waiting for the PC release.

No it doesn't...

if you want to play solo you can.

if you want to play co op with friends you can.

if you want to play with random players you can.

it has a quite enjoyable campaign. it has pvp. it has pve. if you like FPS games you'll enjoy it. if you're just there for the loot you'll love it.

It covers quite a lot of people I'd say.

Its that good eh?

I have it sitting sealed but trying to get through Prey first.

I mean... The game has been out for a couple of days. Lets check back in a few weeks or months at minimum.
I know what I like..sorry. I think this games gameplay loop, and audio/ visual package , and everythong it offers is industry top tier... Why are people do concerned over me giving Bungie there due props?

Also something worth noting that I found really impressive. The Trophy completion percentage for hitting Level 20 in the game is already over 50%. That takes probably a good 8-10ish hours or so, so not only is the game being played by a lot of people, a lot of people are putting a good chunk of time into it

Because everyones still high off that initial hype. Lets let things settle down a bit before we call it the best shooter ever?
