I finally, finally learned my lesson not to buy the $150 version. That life-sized ghost replica would turn into a glorified $50 paper weight. The limited edition is a no-brainer since the pass is $35 anyway so that's only an extra $5 for the nice steel case and all, but I just can't do these $150-200 versions of games with 'statues', 'replicas', etc anymore. Just dust collectors and more shit to move if I ever sell my crappy house.
But to each his own. At least this one isn't just a hunk of plastic and actually has lights/sounds. Mighta been fun to torment the dog with.
I have an extra limited edition for Xbox One (the $99 version) ordered on Amazon.com if they wind up not opening more preorders and someone wants it. I'm sure if I cancel the order it will just disappear as I doubt they would re-open preorders for ONE cancellation.
Not scalping it. If you live in the San Antonio, TX area and can't manage to track one down by launch we can meet in person and you can just pay me RRP for it.
If you're not in the area and want it and can't track one down, just paypal RRP and I can switch the shipping address to yours. GAF as my witness I ain't stiffing anyone on this, just can't see cancelling the preorder and have it disappear into the ether when I might be able to hook a fellow GAFfer up.
As others have said though I'm very pessimistic about this sort of thing and I highly doubt they will wind up being truly "limited" in any shape or form. I'm betting I'll see a Ghost edition or two sitting at my local gamestop well after launch, just as I have for every previous big-name game (Ghosts, Skyrim, Batman, etc etc). So I doubt anyone will need this from me. Just putting it out there just in case.
