The multiplayer has been shut down since 2024, this is them further shutting off access to some of the single player content.

Former members of Bizarre Creations created the studio. They made a lot of no name stuff, but made Geometry Wars 3 and helped support Sea of Thieves.
In 2023 a Tencent subsidiary acquired them.

I played it for a few hours because shortly after launch I finished everything else. Biggest POS PS exclusive ever.

I don't think I want to try it. So whatever... Thoughts and prayers for those who actually play it and would want to preserve it forever.
Iirc Starblood Arena lasted a few months and I missed the info. I could play the tutorial but nothing else. The game even had bots and an offline patch was supposedly ready from the devs, but the game was practically killed entirely.
Sony never learns. MAG was an earlier case. They expect huge numbers but never have the right core and perseverance for that and then even kill some games that might never reach many players but with killing them, those actions surely will not improve consumer goodwill. Concord was probably the first case were killing it was damage control, due to it being a laughing case, but imho it still will haunt them more than if they had just allowed it to actually die on its own. It just set a new low precedent that if something fails they just try to act like nothing has happened. No improvement, no commitment, stuff GaaS needs.
At least they kept the SP around for some time. Not sure why you even need servers for SP. Some lootbox BS I guess?
