Maybe I missed it but I don't think they have really shown or talked much about it beyond this trailer. A quick Youtube search just finds this trailer, a bunch of shitty youtubers "reacting" to it and some people speculating what the game actually might be like

Don't like the look at all. Is it trying to be a Destruction Derby-like game or a Twisted Metal-like game? Just merged with a Rocket League feat typical cartoonized characters?
I would honestly rather have a Destruction Derby reboot. That would be so awesome. Still remember this chokepoint, which was pretty fun to abuse.
I believe Sony still owns the IP, so would be an awesome thing to revive. Also, Destruction Derby is a better name than Destruction All-Stars.

I'd be super hyped for this game, but there are some points that make me feel not completely sold on this.
1. Art style looks terrible to me. I understand that I'm a boomer, but I guess this with less "Fortnite" style could have looked better.
2. Not ftp - i'd be happy for this, but I guess this will kill the game, considering is multiplayer. A deal like Rocket League did at launch with PSN could have worked wonderfully, but like that i guess will not live long.
I hope to be wrong btw because is from ex Bizzare Creations devs and in past they did great games.

That's what I figured. But as someone who has this on their radar, a good video would have me parting ways with $70.
These are the games you need to get in on right away while the community is still alive.

Right now they will be relying heavily on reviewers absolutely loving it to get people in the door
PS Plus was 100% the move for this game, especially as you are really only locking in the first wave of PS5 owners and you can still sell a lot in the months after

Pink, bright blue, purple, cartoonishly bright colors etc.
It seems the media games contain all those bright colors.
But for me, they are too heavy - for long game sessions hardly possible.

Yeah, probably. It is just the nature of time - whether it was arts, music etc. - nowadays there is a trend for bright colorful games with diverse colorful characters wearing various diverse colorful outfits across online games (a lot of that due to chinese censorship too - I wonder if we return to green blood again for example lol). In time we will return to darker colors.

I think the concept is interesting but the lack of gameplay is highly suspicious.
The game is going to live and die by its online community and I'm not convinced that there is going to be enough of a community at launch to sustain it. This should have def been a PS+ game - maybe it will be in December or January.

Launch is still weeks/month away, whats the rush? You and your friends need some patience if this were too long to wait
Because consoles are difficult to get, so your group had to order them earlier? Well, doesnt sound believable that this game only would been why you would choose PS5 over xbox/pc? Assuming that is "elsewere", but there are no similar games even coming for either system, so this too sounds like you just want to trash Sony?

There's way more more info out there for Godfall, so we're more hyped about that game. Why is that so hard to understand?

I can see it going f2p eventually and get praised for doing so. I was personally shocked with that $70 pricetag, although getting it anyway. I think it shouldn't dared to pass $50.
