Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Reveal Trailer

Yea, that's basically what it did to me.

And why I'm highly sceptical the game will actually look that good, even assuming in-engine cutscenes.

I definitely asked for this sequel.

Really hope bad-guy-o-vich is just some decoy and he gets knocked off two hours into the game only to set up the real big bad.

Is that Fatman from mgs2

yes

they also needed a cool robot arm for the villain so they took the big boss prosthetic arm design and then asked tetsuya nomura to improve it

they even went for the "broootheeerrrrrr" reference

villain VA is baaaaaaaaad

but; excited as fuck

these trailers are the best fucking trailers in games

also "I won't let it happen again" is totes a "I never asked for this" reference

the last CG trailer was one of the best videogame trailers ever made

there was demand for it

You can tell they're definitely trying to recapture a bit of the original trailer's viral magic. Didn't quite get there, but still an awesome trailer.

And the Villain VA in the HR trailer wasn't that hot either. It's likely the guy in this trailer will just be a boss you fight along the way rather than the real "big bad"
which is always the Illuminati :P

The trailer was visually arresting and my hype meter is through the roof, but I do agree with the minority opinion that the original HR CG trailer was better scripted around the themes of the game. This trailer felt pretty disjointed and definitely had more of an emphasis on showing his new augmentations. I think it would have been better to reveal more of his augmentations in gameplay demonstrations, and leave the CG trailer to focus more on story/thematic elements.

Edit: I did like how it gave possible hints your moral actions not always having the intended outcome. The guy he save in the trailer ends up killing many innocents. I like the idea of having to work through moral grays where making the "Good" decision could end up with catastrophically bad results later.

Grimdark critical mass reached

and I guess Adam Jensen is Assassin's Creed now with all those arm blade counterkills

They might as well showed diseased and impoverished augmented children with all the excessive grimdark that trailer has going on.

The dialogue in the trailer is basically Nolan Batman-tier, in that it's a bunch of empty grimdark/faux-philosophical gobbledygook.

We get it, Marcel, it's grimdark.

Can't really think of anything more accurate than this. Holy God, this looks amazing. Everything they've said or shown from this game sounds perfect. I can't even. Can't recall the last time I've been so hyped for a game. Please let it turn out like we're all hoping.

Interesting trailer. Even though Human Revolution has one of the shittiest boss fights among AAA titles, I do not want the sequel to over compensate it with too much focus putting on combat especially gunfight.

Really hope bad-guy-o-vich is just some decoy and he get knocked off like two hours into the game only to set up the real big bad.

I think he'll be around for most of the game, but I don't think he'll be the main villain, nor will the police. Both will probably just set up the illuminati thing. Kind of like HR.

It is the Icarus Landing System. It can be used horizontally now.

I dunno, unless they've changed how the icarus landing system (ILS) looks, I would say they're completely different. With the ILS, you still see Jensen in like a electrostatic ball, but with this new ability, Jensen disappears completely.

Some people are thinking nano-tech, but considering only two years has passed since the HR, seems too big of a leap in such a short time from mechanical augs to nano augs, plus the original Deus Ex is set in 2152 and supposedly the Denton brothers were essentially trialling the nano-augs, so... dunno!
