Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Reveal Trailer

looks like London, England. Lugano, Switzerland... Plovdiv, Bulgaria... Minsk, Belarus and that X that looks like a cross hair is over Prague in Czech Republic

Switzerland eh?

Pretty sure Majestic 12 have (or will have in this games case) a school front where JC is sent (well will be sent). Could be another cool easter egg.

Not that related, but with the Morpheus Initiative being mentioned in HR's credits interesting to see how much MJ12 stuff/links will be in MD.

The theme of the Jensen games is "flying too close to the sun" like Icarus. Its talking about how we have this technology to change the world, but at what cost? Do we know our own limits? Icarus flew to close to the sun and died because of it, is humanity doomed to share the same fate because we take technology too far? Thats why Jensen often has the "wings"
Exactly, I think, from a narrative point of view, transhumanism was the thing HR handled better. I mean, considering it's a videogame it would have been pretty easy to lean heavily in favour of technological progress, but I feel like they managed to do a decent job in portraying some of its risks as well.

Come on now, lets be serious. Big Boss doesn't have anywhere near the depth that Solid Snake had and even Solid Snake wasn't that great. It's not really a high bar. Geralt and Jenson destroy most Metal Gear characters.

No one gives a shit about Geralt expect maybe some people in Poland. Putting Geralt in the same sentence with an iconic name in an iconic series is hilarious. Anyways that is off topic.

So excited about the next Deus Ex. Cant freaking wait!

What a fantastic trailer.

The art direction and overall design of the last few Deus Ex games have been top notch. The music piece in this trailer was also very well done, but I do remember enjoying the OST of the last game too, so coming from the same composer I guess its no surprise.

Btw, Visual Works CG's are still the best out there for me.

Yup loved it, just like the early trailers Visual Works did for hyping up Deus Ex: Human Revolution, godly.

Welp, time to go finish my pure stealth run of Human Revolution, and play the missing link.

Sure no gameplay was shown in that trailer, but goddamn if it didn't get me hyped for some more Deus Ex.

I really should finish HR. Dark Souls came out when I was most of the way through, and that was that.

Actually I've never finished a Deus Ex game. I always just replay the beginning a bunch of times, in the case of the original probably dozens of times. What the fuck is wrong with me?

Hype escalating. This could be the game that bridges the gap between both time periods.

Nah, I think the end of this gen's trilogy will close the gaps, at least according to some rumours they're planning a current-gen trilogy. If that rumour is false, I expect a new Deus Ex after Mankind Divided that completely ties the knots to DX1.

Hmmmm? Character wise, Geralt is very popular. The Witcher does very well sales wise as a book and game series. They're also reaching critical mass with Witcher 3.

tehehehe you guys are going to love this one, apparently adam's new jacket is based on/made/design by a real-life clothing brand called acrnm (http://www.acrnm.com/)

Ah, seeing that in the trailer I thought that was going to be a thing in the game, the name was just too perfect, heh.

I loved Invisible War. Finished it 4 or 5 times over. Come at me bros. Sits alongside Postal 2 in my list of games I know are absolutely dreadful but absorbed me completely for reasons I can't explain.

Yeah they already said they see this series as its own sort of "franchise" even though its part of the main timeline. They also mentioned possibly importing saves from Mankind Divided into the next installment. We are getting at least 1 more Jensen game after Mankind Divided before they tie everything up.

I don't care how iconic a series is. It doesn't change its merit.

Doesn't touch HR's trailer definitely. Hope they do a director's cut of this just like they did to the last game's.

Same director, composer, and producer as Human Revolution.

Hell yes.

And writer.

Whoa dude, I love my bro Geralt. He always gets the ladies haha.

AMAZING trailer. So hyped for this now, I really hope more DX1 characters start to make an appearance as Majestic 12 and the Illuminati become more powerful.

I don't normally like CG trailers that much but this is awesome. Onimusha 3 intro level of awesome.

I just hope we can have a 3rd person mode as I just don't like FPS' anymore.

Oh and the bad guy sounds and looks like a fatter Lazarevic from UC2.

After the chasm between the Visualworks trailer of HR and the actual game, I'm skeptical of how much of the trailer will be in the game.

Likely very little, other than key characters and areas. But the gap won't be as great this time, since it's made for current gen consoles only. Let's hope that means bigger hub areas with better NPCs and combat AI.

Stahp. MGS destroys the majority of most gaming characters. The fact that it's hard to objectively characterize any of the enemies in the games as "villains" speaks volumes.

Yeah, I enjoy third person far more so I too wouldn't mind that as an option at all.

Well, we already know that Prague is a major city in the game. I could see a few of those other locations being mission-building-only or simply referenced in the plot. Maybe London could be another hub city to provide an East/West Europe contrast.

It's a Deus Ex game. It's an immersive sim. It's meant to be played in first-person. I'd rather they didn't include the third-person cover system at all--or at least give us the ability to lean, so we have a first-person alternative that does (roughly) the same thing.
