Sorry, these two jackets look like something that belongs in Watch Dogs more than in real life to me.
They go nicely with Aiden Pierce's legendary hat.
Looks like the writing is just as bad as it was in DE:HR.
Shame - they really need to work on that. As much as I loved the last gen game, the storyling and characters were all the most bland stereotypes. |

It's like we're still caught up in 2006. Hopefully reviewers start paying more attention to this and gamers start drilling devs on it.. Time for some progress in 2015 - not just a few.

He is a bit much. Do we know if he is the main baddie though? He doesn't seem particularly politically nuanced. I'm sure the main baddie will be much closer to the Illuminati throughout the game. I think this guy is just a sectarian militarist.

Hm that's a little better I guess. I just wish the jacket was thicker material. It looks so cheap (even though it's not price-wise) and thin. In-game, and the trailers we've seen, it looks more substantial.
DE:HR had bad writing? I agree though with regards to how incredibly awful and cringe worthy that particular character is, but to summarize the rest of the game as bad writing is a little crazy. :/

yeah hopefully. if the bad guy isn't a secret society member in a suit then it aint a deus ex game.

Interesting. Watched the trailer a few times to get the jist of it.
Seems like:
- Jenson sees an Aug get pounded on by cyber cops (?) gets flashbacks to his girlfriend
- Decides to help, kills the cops(?)
- The Aug that jenson saves sets off a bomb, killing civilians, possibly non-aug
- Jenson then sees the aug pledging to Sundowner at some rallying presentation
- Goes apeshit, goes in for the kill
- Sundowner blasts him with a typhoon gun
- Jenson has Nanomachines, son.
and the music....
SO GOOD
Seems like:

Well of course, but the jacket is based on something from in game, why not at least create something completely accurate, or at least closer to that. Not some flimsy thing that certainly isn't worth the money they're charging.
This is funny but she did actually deserve that. If you check her PC you'll discover an email from the mirror company stating that the replacement mirror had been waiting to be picked up for weeks and that if she didn't come and get it they would ship it back.
Sweet justice was served in that video.
Like, holy fuck, all this triangle art design is now canon!

It's nice to hear that they're already at least 2 years into development, hopefully this makes it out early next year. This is like the perfect spring/summer release game.

There's a camera rig in front of his face, so I assume it's either using markerless mocap or it's to be used as reference footage for animators.

Nibel is likely confusing Jensen's voice actor (Elias Toufexis) with Sarif's voice actor (Stephen Shellen). A year or two back, Shellen posted a bizarre Youtube video ranting about conspiracies, fruitflies, the Illuminati, etc. He later said that it was all a parody, but the entire situation was still pretty strange, since he had allegedly appeared on some other conspiracy-oriented stuff.
Gatdamn, release date this year or start of next then?!

I wouldn't be surprised if the game started development right after HR really. A 4-year dev cycle is quite normal for games like these...

My guess is early next year. Like late Jan/early Feb, hitting in that prime dead zone like Dying Light did this year. Would be great for Deus Ex.

The part that makes it strange is that he apparently also appeared on some other conspiracy-oriented content. It's one of those Poe's Law situations, where it's tough to tell if he was just joking, or if he, in part, believes in the conspiracy stuff.
