Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Reveal Trailer

what annoys me is when devs focus on realism, its a damn game just make it fun. i rather adam have fun abilities that make the game more enjoyable than a set of realistically feasible ones.

this was one of the problem with hr, its just too meh gameplay wise. it needs an injection of flair

One of the best aspects of HR was the fantastic atmosphere and setting. The fact that the abilities are grounded in realty greatly help that aspect.

Seriously Square Enix are doing the one of the best CGI Movies in this industry

Final Fantasy
Tomb Raider
Deus EX

Awesome Trailer.....its time to start with this Franchise AND to get Human Revolution for my Ps3

Callin it first: DLC #1 will let you play as Pritchard. They've wanted to make him playable for a long time but had to wait until nVidia HairWorks to really do the character justice. Hype.

He's have two takedown types: lethal (he'd snark you to death) or non-lethal (he'd hack your stuff and make you get permanently on hold with tech support.)

Damn. I really need to get around to playing through my copy of Human Revolution. Unfortunately it looks like that Invisible War playthrough is never going to be finished. Meh.

Been listening to both the Deus Ex and HR soundtracks since this announcement and god damn is it getting me hyped. The soundtrack for this series has been brilliant - so pumped to hear that the composer from HR is back.

It's weird that it feels overly long to me because I checked and the two trailers are nearly the same length! I guess a lot of this one just feels unnecessary and stitched together.

Thats how i feel. It seems forced.

On bright side we get to have more Deus Ex! Trailer tells much about story and has highnproduction values.

But to me HR trailer goes down as one if not the best trailer of all times.....this p did not reach thouse hights.

Looking at some of those Twitter answers I'm definitely not worried. The team is intact and it sounds like they know what they did wrong.

The lead designers are the same people from DX:HR, so I have faith they'll do alright.

I reckon it's coming early-to-summer 2016. Definitely not this year.

It's been in the works for three years and it's a sequel, so it's not exactly made from scratch.

It'd actually be weird if this wasn't out in November. I could see them holding it to optimize sales, but it should be ready to ship by Thanksgiving. Summer 2016? I'd eat my hat.

I don't know, I kinda think the game might make it out before the year's over. Announced a few months before E3 to start building hype, it could have a big showing at E3 then. Plus they've been working on it for quite some time. Perhaps it will be similar to what Ubisoft did with the release schedule of Far Cry 4. Can you imagine if Deux Ex and Fallout came in 2015? A man can dream...

I hope you got a fork and knife and appetiser of you're choosing :)

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for it to release this year but going up against the big guns doesn't seem like a wise idea.

So what's different from HR then???

Hanzers are still hanzers, people are prejudiced, except now the hanzers are going berzerk on humanity instead of there being a Darrow figure plotting to bring Transhumans down...

What difference did Jensen's action make at the end of HR?

None, because you were one small cog trying to turn a huge machine around. Everything you did outside of small personal victories like freeing the scientists was futile.

And it's great.

ffs, the camera is the same one in hr. melee is still 3rd person, this sucks, it completely breaks immersion and feels like a qte. i would like a option to play it as tps or fps, juggling between the two is horrible

Exactly. Everything Jensen did that wasn't on a personal level (namely the main plot) was all according to the Illuminati's plans. He was an unwitting accomplice to their schemes and unwittingly saved them from hugh darrow's designs when he went rogue.
This sequel will probably deal with the fall of the Illuminati and how he unwittingly factors into it.

Did Jensen ask for it?

Hahaha this makes me laugh much more than it should have.

A new Deus Ex is great and all, but wow was that trailer unsubtle in portraying Jensen as the one true savior of the Deus Ex universe.

Seriously, who hangs lights around that just so happen to resemble angel wings?

AC130 is the angel of death.
C130 is the angel of salvation.

Okay. Thanks for shedding some light.

You can really tell the guys at Eidos Montreal are huge MGS fans. The whole controlling information bit, and being an unwitting pawn in a grand scheme is pretty reminiscent of Sons of Liberty.

In fact, the illuminati's involvement in HR's ending going over my head is pretty much how MGS2's ending went over my head.

Looking forward to whatever Easter Eggs they have this time around. Foxiest of the Hounds was a blast to get.

He burst through the roof, that´s why the lights are in that position.

It's mostly continuing from the originals themes. JC was being strung along for the Illuminatis, well, MJ12s, goals for the first act before he breaks free. Adam just has less agency since he's working for Sarif the whole game while JC gets to break the whole conspiracy.

The information control aspect was also there as Bob Page got to rewrite the whole internet to go through his systems.

Human Revolution inherited the theme of large-scale manipulation from the original Deus Ex (which came out in 2000). MGS doesn't really enter into it.

That visual insinuation was definitely a deliberate reference to the Icarus theme.
Thanks for the link.

HR does a good job of setting that up... especially in Hengsha, a lot of the augs have some good conversation about that. Detroit is a little more about class politics, poor vs rich, but in Hengsha you hear a bit more about the vets... people getting augs to save their lives, etc. no cosmetic or luxury augs like from Sarif Industries but hack job legs and arms cuz they got no other choice. the whole harvesters thing there was a pretty good side story.

speaking of Sarif Industries, one of the previews basically said it didn't survive the Darrow/LIMB clinic incident but I wonder if they'll elaborate on that? did it get shut down by the government, just go bankrupt? how about Tai Yong with its CEO gone? I get the feeling DXMD is a little more political, social about augs, but I hope we still get a lot of story about the big corporations, to...

I was always a Shadowrun chummer before the first DX so while the class and political stuff is great too, I really appreciate a good raid on a mega-corp HQ or corp vs corp espionage... my favorite DX areas have always been Versalife and now Tai Yong Medical

So all of the hype made me play through missing link finally.

Forgot home much I loved this game and it's universe. So good.

Missing Link was a lot better and more involved than I expected. Haven't finished HR since launch though, so some details and stuff referee to in emails was hazy.

Game ran beautifully in 4K aside from HUD scaling. Still looks serviceable when it's all cleaned up. Although Jensons hair is some of the worst ever from behind. Glad to see they remedied this with MD.

Actually interested to hear more about the tech the game is using.

Looks like PBR from the screens, which is great because that's a must with a title like this. Surprised the GI article said nothing about graphics/tech at all...
