Know even I think that someone should censor a guy like this. I'm being serious here, this guy is just so awful with his attitude. Never seen a person that not actually that intelligent but act so elitist, like he have objectively good taste than everyone else. I couldn't believe anyone could genuinely like this guy.

Maybe if your that easily offended you should stay off social media?
I found it. Tweets are years old sometimes people do things they regret. Don't see how it is relevant now.

I think there's a critical difference between you initially inferring that he doesn't care at all, and him having a different opinion when it comes to a certain stance that you disagree with.
I disagree with him on a bunch of stuff too, but I'm not looking for someone to suck up to me and validate my personal agenda. I'd watch Fox News or something if I wanted that.

Its the weird thing about social media. I see people post stupid stuff on neogaf all the time and get angry about little things. The difference is they dont have a huge following and can get away with it without getting hundreds of hate messages.

The only way TB would communicate directly with individuals on Youtube was if he commented on his own videos, and I don't think he is stupid enough to do that.

Most people that run popular youtube channels have to be active on more than just youtube to do their jobs. They advertise on facebook/twitter too. Also, youtube is a form of social media. Social media is literally his job, he can't "avoid" it like you suggested.

Leech? Now I'm not his biggest fan but that's a downright ignorant thing to say. Helping indie developers get a spotlight either good/bad which helps boost sales and boost awareness for their company. It's a mutually beneficial relationship in the end. There is also helping people make informed choices on their purchasing habits if they have similar interests as TB.

TB can be as nasty as he wants to be about titles but he should expect to pay the price for it from the developers as well.
Developers forcing release day reviews, Major Developers forcing reviewers to review their games at the Developers studio etc is all the same kind of strong arm tactics.
I dont give a shit what he does for a living or how successful he is at it. That string of tweets absolutely makes him a total fucking asshat on the level of the very trolls he claims to be responding too, hands down. Anyone trying to defend that shit should just stop.

What are you on about? they sent him the review copy. He didnt break dates or anything and IGN gives plenty of bad reviews.. dosnt mean they call for them to take down videos or images of the game in spite of that.
Neither, he's more of a critic, gaming news, podcast host guy.
But his channel doesn't cover console games, just PC. Which is why he is one of the most popular gaming content producers on all of YouTube, but when his name gets brought up on GAF people are like "I've never heard of this guy". Though that changed a bit when he dipped his toes into the Xbox One DRM waters.
So you're okay with critics "paying the price" for giving out a very bad review. Okay then. I suppose there normally is a price, which would be no more review codes, or no more advertising from the publisher. But it wouldn't mean that the review disappears.

This particular Develop who seems to be a small nobody studio responded in that fashion which is go after the money making potential.
Advertising Dollars is how the bigger studios control IGN and other sites. You play nice on our big titles and overhype them or we stop giving you shit.
Gerstmann is a fine example of this. Studio paid big bucks and he shit all over their product. He was gone by the end of the day.
Another good incentive to stfu about private manners on a social network.
It really doesn't take a genius to understand that if you have an huge following your words will be analyzed letter after letter and that probably among your followers there are people that wants to shit on you for no real reason.

What country and why was his wife denied entry to it?
It's been a while, but as far as I can remember it was because his wife was an American citizen, and he wanted to move her to the UK. I believe they're both now living in the US.
He's also had other Visa issues in the past, related to travelling as a professional StarCraft II caster.
EDIT: Apparently he was trying to move from the UK to his wife in the US.

Basically, his wife and kid lived in the US and he lived in the UK. They both lost their jobs and due to immigration incompetence (according to him) he couldn't immigrate.

Speaking on just TB. Didn't like him even before the DRM defending. It doesn't help that he's the most popular voice of PC gaming on youtube and that people have this representation of PC gaming as elitist/arrogant/stubborn thanks to his super nit picky values. His "PSA" videos are hilarious when they're not War Z. I get the FOV thing, really, but man he sounds like a broken record on many things. I'm glad the one thing he's actually humble about is how bad he is at puzzle and adventure games haha.

Well, fuck that. If a game is crap, I expect a review to point out that it's crap. You don't play nice and give it a 7 or something. We should not be accepting this just because it's normal. This is why most reviews are worthless. How are they supposed to be honest when they have to "pay the price" for it? If this is something TB stands against, then he has some value to everyone, including the people who hate him for being an asshole on Twitter.
