In all seriousness, I can't blame someone for not wanting a relationship long distance. It's painful not being able to see your significant other for very long periods of time.
If I was in his shoes, I would probably try the relationship, but I would tell the girl I'm not the most comfortable with long distance and that we should probably try to get together as soon as possible, making whatever sacrifices are needed to do so.

Knowing that dev was in a long term relationship(if indeed this thread is about time-devo) then it really would be the wrong time to do anything about it. Especially if the breakup just happened because emotions are high, rampart, and not focused. Engaging in any sort of relationship tactics is not at the correct time, as there needs to be some time for dev to straighten out. It does not mean that you two cannot get together in the future, but for the moment it would be a tragedy to both of you to come together as a couple. As there would be a subconscious feeling that both of you would project that it wasn't the right time.
