Yes finally!! I can't wait to see the new season...one of the finest tv shows I've ever seen I think.. I love my dexter poster I got here on my wall as well :D
I'm curious as to what storyline they are going to follow. I still have to finish the second book, but there isn't a third book right?

This is the poster I've got hanging in my room by the way, it's pretty big but also pretty fucking awesome :D

Awww hell yes.

As somebody that ended up watching Seasons 1 and 2 right after each other over a one week span, having this show with a weekly gap is going to be murder.

There is a third book; it's called Dexter in the Dark. It came out in the last year or so.

Anyway, season two was okay, but I'm hoping this new one's a lot better.

Yeah I watched seasons 1 and 2 right after eachother as well, which was cool but it ended too quickly for me :p.

Same here, it was a really awesome week. Anyway this is good news. :D

Good news, I also watched seasons 1 + 2 within a few weeks and loved it. Pity
Dokes
is dead though, loved that character.

I wish the show would come out on blu-ray. :(

I agree.

With life so busy, I only have time to watch a few television shows, Dexter being one of the select few. So, this is great news!

Lot of people have been pretty down on Dexter in the Dark, the narrative style is very different, with multiple characters narrating instead of the story just focusing on Dexter. Haven't read it myself, but I can see where that'd detract from the book, arguably the most compelling part of the books and the series is being in Dexter's head with him as he deals with his own suspicions, doubts, and paranoia, knowing that the other characters really do/don't suspect him would detract from that heavily I'd think.

I enjoy this show despite its often terrible script and phoned-in performances by everyone not named Dexter.

Not this shit again. The performances are clearly intentional, and the writing is satirical.

I can't wait. I loved season 2 even more than season 1. I will buy the season 2 dvds (or blu-ray) day one.

I'm just sad they killed of Lila.

Damn. Didn't expect season 3 so soon! Awesome news..

I guess i shouldnt be surprised. Season 1 started oct 1 2006 and season 2 began sep 30 2007

Dexter is IMMENSE. Just finished watching season 1 in UK and am excited to see season 2 soon on FX. Season 1 just blew me away in every way.

Entourage isn't cancelled?
Nope.

I was pretty surprised myself. Kevin Connolly had hinted that they didn't expect the show to come back, but its easily the best thing HBO has going and they left off on a big cliff hanger so it'd be shitty of them to not pick it back up.

September is going to kick off some premium television entertainment. Hopefully they can get the suck out of Heroes for season 3 as well.

The Shield and Dexter in the same month.
Exactly what I was thinking. Odd.. I now feel like the wait for September is a little more bearable for some reason O_o

You'd think it'd make things worse. Whatever. I'm OK with this.

*squeal*

Shouldnt surprise anyone. S1 started at the end of September 2006, S2 started at the end of September 2007. With the writers strike long gone, I figured it was pretty much a lock for S3 in September 2008.

It's how the characters are written in the book.

Everything is about Dexter over-analyzing everything and really getting you involved in only his character. Everyone else just give him things to do.

You really think the actors are intentionally giving bad performances. I mean come on.

That's been my one of my few criticisms of the show, all the suporting characters (except Rita) are annoying and poorly acted.
