Not that it matters much, but as far as Dark Souls 2 is concerned, that is not correct. Here's a chart of the publicly available PVP event data in the months following the launch:To me these games are always about the biggest community and I've always found the consoles to have a much more active one. Maybe this will be different but from what I've seen of DS1/DS2 shit was way more lively on consoles. So I start with that version and I get the PC one when its sub $10 for all that extra bling.
As you can see, PC tracks well with the more popular console version.
It's part of the difficulty.
So many apologists..
Why show just the average though? Lowest framerate is more important IMO. Although, unless you're using something that displays framerates as your guage while you actually play, benchmarks can be horribly misleading at times, especially with transitions. Unigine Valley for example tanks minium framrates every time it switches scenes, even when you're able to run it at 60fps flawlessly.
any news on PS4 version?
If it runs like BB, that will be enough for me. Frame pacing issues appeared only in certain places for me, and usually not during combat.
I've watched a few streams, didn't seem any worse than BB to me.
This generation...they've painted themselves into a corner with the current hardware specs unfortunately. And we're only at the beginning with regard to the life cyclehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5JysgprVds
Just posted, looks bad...
edit: 900p, unstable 30fps, when it does hit 30fps there are frame-pacing issues.
edit2: Article is up: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-dark-souls-3-bloodborne-engine-on-xbox-one
Also seems like there's a glitch for people playing the game offline that it makes the game run like shit.

Lots of frame-pacing. FROM's codebase may not play well with AMD's APU.
From's codebase hasn't played well with anything since they switched to new engines in 2012. Armored Core V was a similar mess.Lots of frame-pacing. FROM's codebase may not play well with AMD's APU.

I mean, you still get to play it early and that's what you paid for.Just spent $100 on the early Xbox one version after everyone said performance was fine...
Jesus

Don't know what you expected from an Xbone multiplat.

Still no frame rate comparison...
The hitching in the video seems like for like across consoles though...
Missing particles effect and way worse shadows in the xbone version.
Frame pacing issues are frequently in the game at all times. I assume that it will run the same as bloodborne does currently on PS4.
Never noticed "frame pacing" in bb. If it runs the same on ps4 I think I'll live.

Same here. I don't even know what it is.
Who is being an apologist with regards to the performance?
? It's a Souls game. Framerate problems are nothing new. I'll manage.
If it's anything like Bloodborne, I'll be fine. Didn't even notice
I wish the new cards would come out already so I can upgrade my PC. I honestly doubt I'll get any better performance between my PS4 and my 670 given the way current gen games are optimised for PC (bloated as hell vram requirements).
Honestly these games are just poorly optimized for any platform
