These games are already performing like you'd expect games ported down to the last generation would perform. When next gen finally released we'll see a lot of cross gen games, a LOT!
Honestly, it's the increasing prevalence of sub 30 FPS games like this that are too ambitious for the hardware that make me think getting a gaming grade PC now is worth it, more than getting 30 FPS console games at 60 FPS. That's fantastic, but outside of a few genres and more competitive games 30's more than good enough for most if you don't want to invest in the hardware. But stuff like this increasingly being the norm rather than the exception... and it's not even always for very ambitious games or those exceeding what could be done gameplay-wise prior in the generation, just stuff that pushes graphical limits at the expense of performance like Crysis 2. It's a shame more of these aren't on PC too really, like Dragon's Dogma.
Yeah, that's true. GTA's always been kind of ugly while touting a mediocre framerate, it only started to look halfway decent this generation. Definitely made up for by how huge and ambitious the design was relative to most games, even if they were kind of rough.GTA has never really ran well, so it won't be overly out of place at the end of generation ceiling/ambition cap.
