It indeed looks amazing. I'm playing Ghost of Tsushima (also with PS5 patch and it also looks amazing) and will deep into GOW after I finish it. I hope TLOU II will get a similar update. C'mon Sony, care about your games!

I should have waited to play this. I played in 2020 and the 30fps just killed it for me. To be fair I'm not the biggest fan of the game itself (I'd say 7/10), but this patch would have definitely enhanced the experience. I don't think I'll revisit it, but this seems like a great update that will massively enhance the experience. It's a great game too, I'm just in the minority.

God of war 3 still looks better than most 'next gen' games.

Thread seems a bit quiet, where are the usual people? I guess they can't shout about bias when "MS shill" Richard is literally doing nothing but praising this through the entire video. :pie_roffles:

I haven't watched the video yet but can he really say anything negative about the upgrade?
 
I tested the unpatched version from disc to check unlocked FPS.
With this new patch, it just unlocks the frame-rate or they added something new?

Maybe I will go after the extras.

When this patch hit I continued my journey, its an absolute blast and looks phenomenal. Excellent visuals combined with some excellent gameplay and puzzle design.

Well he played the whole game in order to find the only framerate drops in order to state the game is actually not locked 60fps. So he did find something negative about the game. Did you see them doing that in any Xbox games? Looking for the worst scene ever in a whole 30 hours game and focusing their video about it?

What game did he compare it to?
The only chance would be to compare it to another game that looks this good on another console. So we're gonna have to wait on that. Who knows when that will be...

I don't know if they can even do something like that with this upgrade. From what I'm seeing it's almost a flawless 60FPs except for that one cutscene. It's kind of difficult to put a negative spin on the whole game based off that one section.
 
Still have to kill GMGOW NG+ Valkyre Queen, but no, actually, framerates never bothered me to want to replace just for that reason.
 
I agree with Rich. It looks better, plays better, feels better. It's amazing on PS5 right now. Still need to get all the ravens for my Plat

The ultra HD textures they pulled off in this game, a PS4 title, are damn impressive.

I have one playthrough left until platinum. This patch is a great reason to dive back in and knock it out. Fantastic game. Loved every minute of it. Ragnarok is going to be megaton.

Coming from one of the most devoted Sony zealots on here, this is painfully ironic. What is more ironic is your post does more to derail this thread than anything posted prior, by FAR.

His post wasn't trolling at all, what he mimicked is something that happens in most analysis threads, regardless of who "wins." If it is a DF thread, people say "wait for NX." If it is an NX thread, people say "wait for DF," etc. Happens every time.

Go play some PS5 and relax bro. It's Saturday.

Sometimes it seems like some of you Sony guys really just want an site wide circle-jerk "Hail Sony!" echo chamber. I really hope that never happens.

Dude tries to make a thread just getting hyped for future Xbox releases and it was immediately turned into a Shit On MS fest. Compare that to "Some dude from Sony says Ragnarok is coming out in 2021" thread and its replies.
