Haven't managed to rip any streams from the game IIRC, so it's probable it does.I beat only PC version, interesting that it lacks of dynamic music..
What about Dreamcast version, does it have dynamic music?
Also, NeoGAF's own Mama Robotnik is a guest on this episode! Curious to hear if you guys like the idea of guests in future episode! I think his knowledge brought a lot to the table!
And it supports widescreen resolutions up to 1080p. It's strange that this fan made patch wasn't mentioned in the video. It's the best way to experience the game today IMO.You can force 60 fps in pc version btw

Come for Soul Reaver, stay for Mama Robotnik. Fantastic episode about a very underrated series. Definitely one of the best intros to a video game ever made.
"Kain is deified. The clans tell tales of him, few know the truth. He was mortal once, as were we all. However, his contempt for humanity drove him to create me and my brethren.
I am Raziel, first born of his lieutenants. I stood with Kain and my brethren at the dawn of the empire. I have served him a millennium. Over time we became less human and more . . . divine. Kain would enter the state of change and emerge with a new gift. Some years after the master, our evolution would follow, until I had the honour of surpassing my lord. For my transgression, I earned a new kind of reward. Agony.
There was only one possible outcome, my eternal damnation. I, Raziel, was to suffer the fate of traitors and weaklings: to burn forever in the bowels of the lake of the dead.
Tumbling, burning with white hot fire, I plunged into the depths of the abyss. Unspeakable pain, relentless agony, time ceased to exist. Only this torture and a deepening hatred of the hypocrisy that damned me to this hell. An eternity passed and my torment receded, bringing me back from the precipice of madness.
The descent had destroyed me, and yet, I lived."
Seeing The GIA in there was a serious blast from the past. I think that was probably the only gaming website I've ever really cared about. Those were the early days of the interwebs for me...
Nice vid on Soul Reaver. That was a game that blew me away on the PS1, but for some reason I remember very little about. I guess my brain can only make so much space for too many gaming memories.
I can listen to Legacy of Kain's dialogue alone for hours on end and be riveted every time.
When you think about how many games even today have sub-standard voice acting that falls into melodrama or anime VA cliches, and then you hear what they were doing at the time with games like Soul Reaver, and it's still incredible. Top-tier voice acting married to top-tier story-crafting.
I could listen to Kain's speech at the pillars for days.
Indeed. Also, Tony Jay really embodied The Elder God. He is sorely missed.
Gex runs at 30fps with slowdown? Is it like this on other platforms

Good enough, but the story reached God tier so they are a must play. So, were the sequels any good?
Nope. It's a rock solid 60fps on Saturn and PS1.Gex runs at 30fps with slowdown? Is it like this on other platforms
As far as I know, only the PSX has dynamic music enabled. Which for me makes it the definitive edition.I beat only PC version, interesting that it lacks of dynamic music..

Probably. The PC port is total shite. What's the deal with Soul Reaver 2 on PC? I hear it's easier to run it on epsx2 rather than the pc port.

It works for me?Probably. The PC port is total shite.
