DICE media editors make insulting tweets about CoD's graphics, then delete tweets

The Infinite warfare devs should reply: "At least COD games work on day one unlike BF4" Anyway this whole thing is pretty childish, those devs should have known better.

to which anyone could simply reply "COD servers haven't worked in 10 years, what's one by us"

played more BF4 broken edition (and yes it was bad as hell) than all of my Advanced Warfare play combined.

They better bring it on Friday after those words.

When you're saying things like this, I think they're pretty confident in what they're going to show. BF reveals have always been more impressive than COD reveals. Time and time again.

Can't wait to see GAF do a 180 on this and praise DICE for their technical prowess.

I don't think anyone is denying DICE's technical prowess. I'm a huge BF fan, and I'm super hyped for the reveal, but those tweets are just so unprofessional.

Blops III was 1080p on PS4 most of the time, and we don't know if they're using the same technique with IW. Dice's games are 900p at all times on PS4. They're a paltry 720p on Xbone at all times. How is that acceptable more than 10 years after the 360 came out?

I'm not saying CoD looks better, but it's kind of a low blow coming from a studio that puts out games running lower resolutions and which struggle to maintain their target framerate in larger servers.

Battlefront is locked 99.9% of the time, looks amazing, arguably one of if not the best looking games out there currently, even at the 900p where it happens to look crisp and gives most 1080p games on the PS4 a run for their money in IQ.

1080p 'most of the time' is still 1080pr and the framerate was not locked at all in comparison, nor is the graphical fidelity anywhere close, 900p vs. 1080pr or not.

Yes the comments were silly, however let us complain about their comments on a forum, in which we ourselves indulge and love to make similar comments.

These guys sound like a bunch of grade school pricks.

They sound like us GAFers, lol. And everywhere else on the web wether it is sports, TV, music, or game forums.

To be fair they probably thought the Internet was gonna melt before they showed hardline. I won't hold my breath.

Probably because they expected something of better from IW? I have had the same sentiment after the trailer.

It's okay to not like things, but don't be a dick about it.

Especially if you're representing a company.

I hope so, because to be honest, the engine isn't even a looker anymore in Battlefield. I don't get their initial tweets.

I may give it to you if your talking about the PC version, but the console versions don't look impressive at all, Black Ops 3 or Advanced Warfare might look better to me than BF4 or Hardline there, and they perform much better too.

Luckily they didn't make Hardline, but they did make Battlefront, which did make people call BS and say 'nice CG'.

Battlefield, no...

Battlefront with their next evolution of their engine with photo-geometry... applied to the Battlefield series... it should look glorious.

They did not make Hardline, and BF4 was a launch game for these consoles... again, Battlefront was the 'test bed' for their next tech they are using.

I'll be impressed when they can get a PS4 to push 1080p.

We're not in the industry though(at least not most of us).

The only talent at dice was their engine guys. Makes sense that they havent launched a good product since frostbite is now a seperate studio

No one isn't saying Dice isn't talented or the game won't look fucking amazing. It will. It's just there was no need for this person to rant about it publicly on twitch as if IW personally called him out.

What I want to say is something that sadly nobody is mentioning and is becoming frustrating: it is stupid and anti-civilized for anyone to feel threatened to speak their mind- irrelevant of what they say. It frustrates me that some regulate their freedom of expression in fear of getting fired. The 'pressure' of righteous fucks gangbanging on tweets and twits and facebooking means nothing to me, but it sadly pressures others.

No, on topic:
This is getting me giddy about BF5. I don't view such remarks as childish or 'OMG console wharzzz!' because I am not a teenager.

He would still be a dick for shit talking.

This is how freedom of speech starts to die. Through corporate policy governing your personal accounts. They bribe the politicians with large campaign donations, in return since the government can't infringe on your rights legally, they do the favor for the government by infringing via publicly traded (ironic) 'private corporations' and all.

The more I watch the show Continuum, the more scary how the parallels are there every year.

Regardless if the comments were as tactless as what everyday forum posters contribute in.

He would still be a dick for shit talking.

While I agree that it may have been tacky, these comments right here always crack me up. Especially about game developers where their game(s) are highly competitive, shit talking 90% of the time, tea bagging, emote inducing, rage quitting gameplay.

And most definitely when all of us humans are not infallible.

They need to deliver a game before talking about others.

I always hold myself to before think to buy a preview game from DICE.

I love BF and DICE but this is just unprofessional behavior - let your game speak for itself.

It's okay to be proud of your work, but mocking others for theirs just makes you look weak and insecure, despite saying how much your reveal will "melt the internet".

Freedom of expression does not mean freedom from all consequences. His job is not a right, and I'm sure there are plenty of other talented people out there that would love to have his position and not spout off childish things on the internet. Twitter is public, and these guys are actively advertising themselves as developers for DICE.

It's his personal twitter account and he's allowed to have an opinion. We all say the same shit every single day about devs and their work.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this imo.. he's 100% correct.

Wow. Wasn't aware of a BF reveal on friday. After those tweets I'm definetly interested in what they got to show. They seem to be pretty confident.

He is kind of right...

I remember when they were hyping up Ghosts reveal at the Xbox E3 conference back in 2013 and I thought to myself: "Finally, next gen visuals COD!"... well... I am stilm waiting for that expectation to be met.

Hope that they are pulling Bad Company 3 out of the bag on friday

It's not professional at all. Nothing to do with us being human, it's about being professional. Imagine Neil Druckman or Sam Lake talking shit about each others work, it would be ridiculous. Either way, this guy is just some media editor scrub, not even important.

BF5 having an amazing reveal won't change his dickishness.
