DICE "not moving on to future projects or expansions" until BF4 issues are fixed

Good news.

Would love to see them not even release another Battlefield for another couple years and keep supporting the current one. I miss the days when shooters had a life expectancy greater than 1 year. I fear DICE/EA maybe trying to compete with the Call of Duty yearly release.

I'm predicting a Bad Company 3 in Fall 2014.

Same shit here.. those XP Boosts are utterly worthless at the state the game is in..

Tho when it works its AWESOME!

but for now, there's more bad then goodness in this game.

I agree. I was hoping that Battlefield 4 wasn't even going to come out until the end of next year. Really would rather seem a new one every 2-3 years with them supporting each game with the DLC like they do.
 
Has anyone noticed an annoying discoloration affect in Obliteration mode ?

I think just like BF3 it will be months before this game is 100% solid all around.

They need to remove them from battle packs until they fix this mess. I'd much rather have a scope for a gun I'll never use because at least then I won't feel cheated.
 
Not moving on and yet they are releasing DLC for the game before the full game actually works properly.
 
Besides losing single player progress. before the update the multiplayer was fine for me and now after the update in multiplayer playing conquest the game just crash's which is very annoying and frustrating.
 
Hey Dice, how about you update the single player so I don't have to finish the entire campaign in one sitting. I'm not restarting that shit yet again. If I have to play Baku one more goddamn time, I'm going to rage.
 
I'm getting utter and horrible lag/rubber banding in every conquest game on top of the random crashes. Is it just me or the game?
 
Well I just got the update notice for their second patch about an hour ago. Don't really know what it did, but it's another 600+Mb.

The rubber banding is you or the server, but the crashes are happening for everyone.
 
Sad a bunch of people paid $110 for this shit. I didn't even jump at $30. Broken games shouldn't be released at all. But EA is going to EA.
 
Does this statement ring hollow for anyone else? They're still releasing the first batch of DLC which means they'll continue to sell and make money on a broken product. Not to mention they probably are going ahead with future paid content because they estimate the patch will beat the remaining content out the door regardless.

I would be very surprised if they gave us something useful like a map pack
 
I loved Mirror's Edge but my faith in the quality of another one has been dropping steadily. Pretty much rock bottom now. Any further and I'll just start wanting it *not* to come out. THIS IS WHAT YOU'VE DONE DICE. And let's not even talk about Battlefront.
 
I still have this game wrapped from when I picked it up at the PS4 launch. I think I'm going to go return it today and get NBA 2K instead lol.
 
4 games, 4 more hard dash quits. I don't know why I keep doing it to myself, I haven't been able to finish a game for the last few days now.

No actually, they should not have released this broken piece of shit before it was stable. The other BF's had problems at launch, but I don't remember any of them crashing for me all the fucking time like this.
 
Wow, having not purchased the game I wasn't away these issues were so serious, nevermind widespread. After the shaky launch of BF3 I had made a point of avoiding this one until the 'Premium Edition' is released, and by the sounds of all this that was a good decision.
 
To be honest Im more troubled over the fact that there is no support for playing with friends in a party. Ridiculous.

The other day I managed to have like 5 rounds without crashes, I thought it was finally fixed.... Then I crashed 3 times in 30 min and gave up.

Yes, because a game crashing to the dashboard losing you 15 minutes of progress is a far better experience when shared its friends. At the moment premium would have to come with a free hooker and a blowjob for me to even consider purchasing it.

EA recently said it wants to be known as the best company. I see another worst in their future. Traded this garbage in which still means they got my initial $60 but EA and DICE can get fucked if they think I'm buying any DLC.

What a disappointing mess of a game.
 
And to think, I almost bought a PS4 for soley for a stable BF4 experience! Ha!

Thankfully I obtained the PC version for cheap and was able to get it to run pretty decent.

Both China Rising and Second Assault expansions have already been made, even though Second Assault is only out for XBone right now.

That would mean Naval Strike (was Spring 2014), Dragon's Teeth (was Summer 2014) and Final Stand (was Summer 2014) are the BF4 expansions that are actually on hold.
