Did Robot Chicken cross the line?

Despise that show. It reeks of wanting to be edgy. I enjoyed the first couple of episodes though.

It's one of those shows where you laugh not because it's funny, but because it's offensive.

This may be true... but the storyboard on the season 1 box where the Pope and Stephen Hawking are like the Odd Couple is both. :lol

I thought it was pretty sickening, but then again I find Robot Chicken to be extremely hit or miss.
Yeah, I was going to say that Robot Chicken is just about the ultimate hit or miss show.

Yep. Some of the skits are just hilarious, and there are some memorable ones (like the FF7 one), but other times you sit there and have to wonder WTF they were thinking.

why did the robot chicken cross the line?
because adult swim has jumped the shark? :x

i never like robot chicken when i see it on tv, but i've really liked a couple random bits i've seen on youtube.

That was awesome. He does what we were all thinking!

Right guys? Right?

It only crosses the line if you imagine some kind of pedophilic subtext in that segment, but if you actually watch it you see he is only ****ing a stuffed animal.

The first time I watched it, it made me feel uncomfortable... but considering they replay the episode over and over, I've seen that skit a few times since... and now I'm desensitized and I find it funny. There is something wrong with that.

Uhh...How could anyone be offended by that? He's not doing it to a kid just the bear. Jesus, why is everyone now adays are so freakin easily "offended" by the stupidiest crap.

I think it was the constant protests by the bear. NO MEANS NO!!!

Yeah... hit or miss to the extreme. I feel that way about any kind of "shock" humour stuff. It's strange, even though I can fully enjoy things aimed at kids or a younger crowd, this type of thing always makes me feel "too old" to really get it.

Robot Chicken is an adult show with adult themes and its pitched as dark satire... if you can't deal with it... then you aren't the market that the show is appealing to. This really is a ridiculous conversation.

I just think it's funny that people are getting "offended" over this when there are FAR worse things on the net. Heck, you could probably find some much worse stuff on Newgrounds front page.

I love it when they chuck the drunken, whiny Bush twins into an episode :lol

"Thas not trooooooooooo, thas impossibeeeeell! Mah real father wood let me go clubbing as late as ah waaaaaant!!"

*hit by sabre*

"Aaaaaaaaaawww you thuck!" :lol

This one was great too:

"Why don't people realise that you can't outrun the police! ...unless he has a SPEEDBOAT like the one he's taking right now!" :lol

And you can find beheadings on Ogrish... what's your point? It's when a network decides it's okay to air an episode where rape (even though it's a stuffed bear) is used in a humorous way that people start to have problems. i'm kinda conflicted on this one, because i thought it was funny in a sick way, but rape itself isn't funny. The "rapeably fresh" line really wasn't needed.

Yeah, MIMIC, I thought the same thing watching it last night.

It would have been funnier with a chick. It one of the deep dark secrets of womenhood that they learn to masterbate humping a teddy bear.

was that Hulk Hogan doing the voice of Abe Lincoln?

I'm not sure, but he definitely did voices for that episode. He was in one of the skits as an animated version of himself.

You don't think they initiated the shark jumping intentionally? That's the whole joke behind AS. Face it, they know how to push your buttons.

I laughed at the rapeably softness for a while actually. I knew I probably shouldn't, but damn if it wasn't funny.
