I had a launch day Playstation 4 pre-ordered on Amazon, but I fell in to a lot of GameStop store credit so I figured I'd just cancel my Amazon one and go with GameStop and get it for free. What ended up happening is that they stopped taking pre-orders at the store and on the site, and when I went back to Amazon to try to get my pre-order back, it was too late.

And then I realized that GameStop has Amazon gift cards and I never really had to cancel my pre-order at all! So, I'm braving the sea of humanity on launch.

Preordered online. I live out in the boonies and don't want to be driving home in pitch black at 1 AM.

I might as well be going in raw. When I pre ordered the ps4 at GS I thought I was set. Then I learned that they don't guarantee day one availability. So I'm going to have to sit in line waiting for the ps4 to come out just like everyone else.

Even at $600 I couldn't find a ps3 for a month.

When they launched at a $1000 I had no trouble finding one. The real trick was finding the best deal at the time.

I'm confident the same will happen again this time around (though I'm in no rush to grab a new console this time around).

GameStop winning hearts and minds. Seriously they need to spell this out to customers. I've never had a gamestop employee honestly say a system wasn't guaranteed until months after they got your money and now it is too late to find one somewhere else.
