the updates are scary O_o

phone number... I'm starting to feel really bad for this kid, 15-16 and this will be the highlight of his life

Have Internet vigilantes ever gone after the wrong person?

EDIT: Apparently, yes.

poor kid, I almost feel sorry for him. :lol

.....ok yeah I don't feel sorry, he got what was coming to him.

His email is Closetcasedpimp1. :lol :lol :lol

Either that kid has no idea what Closet Case means or he's trying to tell us something.

So let's get this straight, the kid was not the robber, but bought it from somebody else who stole it?

I'm not sure why the guy feels so sure about that. I think he maybe regrets how much heat the kid is getting...

I mean, now he's saying "forget the messages I sent you gloating about stealing it, I actually bought it off the REAL robber for $200, please leave me alone!"

Sounds like exactly the kind of sob story a thief would come out with when he realises all his personal information is being doled out like free candy.

I'm sorry I'm late to this thread btw. I love interweb justice!

The kid is obviously full of shit. He wouldn't know who owned the 360 if he wasn't involved. Boy found out the harsh reality of the world when you fuck someone over and gloat and is trying to hide the truth

It's his own damn fault. He's an idiot. He could have stolen the Powerbook and 360 and not have been a dumbass who leaves a message asking the guy to buy back his own 360.

As a victim of robbery myself, this is awesome to watch unfold. And I can relate to the unresponsive police aspect the author had as well.

Yep .The victim of the robbery is obviously feeling bad now about how much shit the kids getting and is trying to cease it.

The kid looks like the person in security footage etc. The kid magically knew who to contact to "act tough". The kid deserves all the shit I am sure the internet is giving him.

Did 4chan pick this up? Alot of the comments sound like shit they would say. Or is it just internet anonymity acting up again.

Maybe the real thief is one of the real killers OJ is searching for?

Good. Good. I'm glad little shit thieves like him are getting busted. This is justice because apparently, the cops aren't doing shit.

this is why im security conscious on teh internet, i can't have a bunch of internerds trying to track me down and ruin my immediate life over some spilt porridge.

I have the same feelings since I had something kind of similar happen to me. It sucks having your stuff stolen, but it sucks even more when you learn the police wont do anything about it, even when you've found the person that stole the stuff.

update on digg says the kid brought the laptop back to the victim :lol

lol "I Swear I didn't do it. Oh yeah by the way I found this laptop just sitting in my bedroom. No idea how it got there."

He looks like the typical douche bag who will be in prison before he is 21. Love the Cross hes wearing in his picture he obviously follows Christianity so well.

A felony is not "spilt porridge."

I'm confused. The victim is now saying the kid brought back the laptop and said he bought it from someone. But, isn't that same kid the one who left him a Live message about the Xbox?

Looks like in his last update he says he doesn't believe the kid but does know he is in the neighborhood. The kids scared shit less but hes still playing games. He has only returned some of what he stole probably managed to sell some of the other stuff and doesn't know what to do now.

I mean the Internet has found Nude photos he took of himself etc. They can pretty much fuck him over for a long time

This will probably keep him from stealing shit out of peoples houses for a while.

You just don't fuck with the internet.

The internet can bring anyone to their knees.

it almost brought bill clinton down in 1998. It easily got a would-be career criminal brat.

pure ownage at its best. :lol

How scary would that be? Internet folks have, in less than a day, found out your name, address, and phone number. They know what you, AND your girlfriend, look like. They know all of the popular places that you hang out on the internet. They know your ISP. You basically have half the world tracking you down. What's worse? Its not the police. The police have rules and procedures. Meanwhile some psycho bastard with too much time on his hands doesn't have those boundaries, and might decide that a stolen TV, laptop and game console is worth a little bit of vigilante justice.

I'd be frightened out of my mind. That's some serious shit.

What a crock of shit that kids story is. We're supposed to believe he bought a laptop off some random guy on the street, then when he found out it was stolen goods he just returned it to the owner for free, losing all the money he "paid" for it? Yeah right.

At least the good thing is he gave it back. I'm sure he's learned his lesson and won't do this sort of crap again.

He still has the guys TV etc so its not over. Of course he may have sold the TV and such

The intenet wins again!

So when is this dumb thief going to get arrested? Has the Blogger even gone to the police yet?

edit: nvm I just read his blog post, cops seem to have a lead on the suspect, I wonder who it could be? :lol It would be funny if it was someone else.

Damn I wish I could've done this a few years ago when my house got broken into a. I know it had to have been some punk ass kids because they only took games. Bastards even left my dreamcast open and took the disc inside...

EDIT: Nice, this actually help me find out that Each video can be up to 10 minutes in length and up to 1GB in size now. Used to just limit it to 100MB.

Also...Ahahahaha dumb ass got busted! :lol

EDIT 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC3LF3fvkuE

Wow she ratted the other guy out fairly fast. Also people with accents kick ass as investigators/interviewers.
