It's sad that two of my top five favorite developers, tri-Ace and tri-Crescendo, have been relegated to doing cheap handheld licensed games based on animes.
But still, the recent Digimon games have looked fantastic. Just wish they'd be released in the US!

Very well. It could crawl to 175-200k in Japan.
As for LBX, that was always game first, anime later.

Its this an anniverssary game or something? Is very strange to see a game of 01 right now.
Fucking love the original openings, they were even awesome tranlsated to spanish, not like the shitty rap version americans had that we could hear only in the toy commercials for the series. I love the spanish dub, I think it was the first time they translated posters and store signs and implement them as if they were already in spanish in the original.
I remember fondly watching the series and the movie with my friends. One funny thing that happened, I was watching one school morning that I was ill, and this was before I liked it and started being really famous here, the episode before the last one of Digimon 01 on tv, not even knowing what it was at that time, so I didnt get really spoiled. So then when we were watching the last episodes with my friends I said oh shit! Ive seen this, and all my friends said I was lying because it was impossible to have seen the last episode as we all thought what we were watching at the time was a first rerun, so I started saying to them the things that would happen while we were watching and they still couldnt believe it and thought I was lucky guessing. Oh, the days before the internet became mainstream.

That's correct. This is all part of Digimon's 15th Anniversary celebration.

FYI Adventure is still regarded as the best season in Japan and Tamers is the one that started the decline in interest in the series. So yeah.
Didn't Tamers have better ratings overall than Adventure 02? I hold Tamers and Adventure in equal regard and it's no surprise Adventure is seen as the best but I don't think Tamers did very badly at all.

Any game with any form of Angemon goes near the top of my must have list.
While I did watch Tamers and Frontier still following the original 2 (Guilmon rules!), my real love for the series died after they showed T.K. and Kari never got married. F**k that shit.

Incredibly off topic, but why does ASH KETCHUM never catch pokemon? How are you supposed to be a pokemon master if you only use a pikachu! Although he uses the starting 3 from time to time and they were op in red/blue..

In the first generation (I don't know if ash continued with all the new pokemon) he only had pikachu charmander squirtle bulbasaur pidgey and i think butterfree? I don't remember how he got the starting 3 but i mean there were a lot of episodes and that is a small amount of pokechu

Nope, Tamers tanked in ratings. 02 actually did pretty well compared to Tamers.

Well this looks like your run of the mill Bamco franchise RPG, so you take what you can get.
A shame considering 02 is a terrible sequel and Tamers is the best Digimon series. Adventure01 can't be touched mostly for the nostalgia purpose and the Myotismon Arc.
The Myotismon arc was amazing. Eleven years ago I would be dying of excitement for this game... Who am I kidding? I'm so fucking excited and I don't even have a PSP. Time to practice my japanese.

It's a shame 02 ruined Vamdemon (I REFUSE TO CALL HIM MYOTISMON)
Grass types: 2x third stages, 1x second stage, 1x basic stage
Fire types: 2x third stages, 1x second stage, 1x basic stage (with no evolutions in chain)
Water types: 4x basic stage (plus 1x second stage, but that wasn't his water type for the gen)

I'm still partially mad that his Totodile never became a Feraligatr. Then again his totodile is adorable when it dances around and I don't think it'd be able to do that as a Feraligatr without looking odd.

Weird, wonder where people got the "Tamers started the drop" notion posted elsewhere in other forums.
Different network + odd times (arc 1 was wednesday nights, arc 2 onwards was sunday mornings prior to Battle Spirits). Xros Wars follows toku's way of having sales mattering than the ratings.
Even prior to the dumping its ratings have been consistently on that. (I feel awkward because it's the same thing people have been saying back when the show aired and there were rating discussions in /m/
)
