Digital Board Games Thread: Async Multiplatform Meeples

Loving the new Star Realms expansion.
The new narrated mission previews are awesome.

Feel free to challenge me anytime (Pitta), I'm always up for a game in my favorite deck builder ever.

I am absolutely loving the Star Relams expansion too. I actually think it may throw balance a tad out of whack with the gambits, but the new ships are quite nice. That's the beauty of RNG. I feel SR was nigh on perfectly balanced out of the box as it stands, really.

MarkovChaney is my in game name here. I'm always looking for some games and love playing with GAFfers. :)

Not sure if this is the place to post this or not, but im looking for a group to play games with on Table Top Simulator. If anyone is interested in having a neogaf group, please PM me or reply here!

I am willing to teach/learn anything!

I finally understood how to play Quarriors! (After having seen the real thing played and some YouTube videos...NOT from the game tutorial) and I'm really addicted now.
I had the game since months but I never really understood till now, when it finally clicked...a supercool mix between Ascension and Magic, with dice.
Anyone plays it here? (Game is apparently free now for a week too).

If you want, challenge me for a game (extended rules only, base is too random)!!!

I hope they will port D&D Dicemasters too!!!

New humble bundle that might be of intrest.

Can anyone give me some impressions of Catan HD on iOS? When the game first came out it got pretty good reviews, the only major criticism was no multiplayer. Now they've added multiplayer, but the game has bad reviews on the app store with the primary criticisms appearing to be: non-random dice rolls favoring the AI and crashes.

Are these accurate impressions? Would you recommend it?

When playing the game I did feel like being cheated a bit by AI as well. It was not awfully bad but you will feel it. I accepted it as developer wanting to make the game more challenging and I also blame the die. Still great game, love it.

Man what a buggy mess that app is. Games constantly bug out, the app is slow and freezes. Really disappointing.

Weird, so far I found the app totally slick and really well done.
Works like a charm.
Not considering the iaps I'm actually enjoying the game a lot.

Any Le Havre players around (iPad)?

I've been playing it a lot lately against the computer. I really enjoy it.

Send a PM if interested.

note: I am just being a smart ass with the opening sentence I don't actually mean anything by it I was just surprised I am the first to post this since it was posted in the board game thread first lol

Thanks. Looks like no online multiplayer though?

yeah I only see pass and play.

also amazon app store (for those with coins)

and it's coming soon to steam.

edit: just found this
Days of Wonder is also working on an online multiplayer mode with asynchronous play, which will be accessible later, promising players an enhanced gaming experience. This online multiplayer mode will be added to Splendor in an upcoming update and available to all Splendor's owners for free.

Oh, I completely forgot about that game. I played it a few times after downloading, not enough to get a feel for the AI. Honestly I'd wait for online or a sale.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this: Tabletopia

I actually haven't used Tabletop Simulator, but it seems similar to that, except this has official backing from several publishers and it has a subscription-based model, but there's a free membership.

I'm watching it on kickstarter but frankly I'm not that impressed with the pricing of their subscription model.

Resurrecting.

For whatever reason put Carc on my iPad this afternoon. See they put out an expansion pass in April, so, bought that.

Seems like the community might be dead though? If anyone is still playing, feel free to add me. Bigwinnerx. Played years ago.

Heroes of Normandie is out on Steam. I've only played the game in real life a few times but it looks very interesting, and the PC version looks pretty slick. It's a little expensive at $20 though.

PC client isn't terrible. Still terribly expensive, though, and still with the "gokoins." So if I want to buy Prosperity (and who wouldn't?) I'll have to pay 15 bucks for 160 gokoins (now called "ducats"), then buy the expansion for 150, leaving 10 remaining coins that will sit there forever. Not the most outrageous thing that's ever happened, but it's annoying.

They do have an auto-match function now that seems to be working well, so I'll give them credit for that. On the web game it was such a pain in the ass to get into a game I usually just gave up. Or I'd get into one and immediately get kicked for whatever reason.

Aside from the cost, this is progress. Actually kind of looking forward to checking out the iPad client.
