Yes, it's truly outrageous she doesn't sport the traditional American accent for her French character, just like in the original.
I think teaser trailers are basically for people who are going to see a film no matter what.
This showed me nothing. A few fanservice moments like the rose, music, and lines from the animated film recreated, but I figured they would have at least one shot of the Beast or Belle in a dress or something.

She's an attractive woman, just not what I would consider an exceptional beauty. It also doesn't help that she looks a bit like Richard Dawkins and my ex-boss's son.
For the record, I posted in the casting thread for this that they should have cast a french actress as Belle.

that's clearly a beautiful woman.Take As Old As Time was sung by a delusional tea pot to her Grandson, I don't think we're meant to take it literally given Belle spends almost the entire film pissed off as fuck that people see her as beautiful rather than smart.

When you call someone a "beauty," you're not just calling them beautiful.. It's absolutely a comparison to other attractive people. It should be someone so beautiful, everyone else looks like ass.

I mean, calling someone a beauty is absolutely calling them beautiful, it's the same damned word. And the person you're describing in that last bit doesn't exist.
Again, in the story only a delusional tea cup calls her beautiful. And that's to her stupid, illiterate son. Belle herself does not want to be seen as merely beautiful, the sae way as old furbag doesn't want to be seen as a beast. People forcing the terms on them drives their entire arcs because neither agrees with/wants the life that the terms provide.
Or, to put it another way, it's meta as fuck that Emma Watson is playing someone who doesn't want to be seen as a sex object/trophy wife to some asshole but instead be taken seriously.

I hear what people are saying about Watson, I disagree to an extent, but I understand.
Watson is accessibly beautiful. She comes across as very genuine, sweet, and beautiful with just enough "normal" to make her feel like a real person you might know.
But if we're talking someone who is a bombshell, curvy, immediately sexy personality, has to try to look bad, etc. I don't thinks he fits the bill.
Personally, I prefer women like Watson over the latter, but if that's what people think Belle should be I could understand why they don't think she fits.
