Armin seems to be the more consistent fella of the lot...his highs wasn't anywhere near PvD or Tiesto at their peak imho but at least he hasn't had a sharp dropoff in quality trance lately like those two

2008 was a great year.
I went to college so I could learn how to Photoshop that. My life is complete.

Guetta rising... UGH.

Axwell slowly making his way up and glad to see Gareth Emery crack the top 10. Roger Shah also making an impact, just missed the top 20.

Mat Zo at 150 is a travesty, listen to his September 26 set at Vision, absolutely brilliant. Likewise Jody Wisternoff at 134.

Sied Van Riel is absolutely miles too low.

Angello and Ingrosso above Prydz is a fkn joke.

From an Aussie standpoint, good to see Tydi and Dirty South in the top 60.

The white guys comment was sarcasm you tightwad, but techno has no soul... I made a generalization that all this is techno, forgive me if I haven't run through the whole list. techno sucks... i don't really care to say more.

out of that 150 Dj list there aren't more than 5 Djs that are known in the techno scene.....do you know what techno is or you simply generalize all dance and electronic music under 'techno'?

Bulshit list is still bulshit.
Where the fuck are all the Techno dj's? Mills? Clarke?

I think this list isn't about the best Djs out there, its more like the best dance producers that are widely known for their commercial tunes. Unfortunately alot of techno, DnB, minimal, and Dubstep Djs are overlooked. There are so many talented Djs, such as Gaslamp killer, Pet duo, Ben Sims, Ellen Allien, Apparat, Apex, and London Elektric...but i guess they see them as too 'underground'.

Above and Beyond should've gone a bit higher. Gabriel & Dresden have split up :'[ so any progress from their side wouldn't have made any sense.

Daft Punk are the best in the world, but they haven't done *anything* in 2008 and 2009 so, yeah, that's a good place for them.

IMO Above & Beyond should be #1. They put great effort into their work and their weekly radio show is awesome!

Edit: Also having just discovered Sunlounger, it's really great to see that Roger Shah is up 37 positions. The guy is a genius at baleraic trance and chill.

Yep, it's been like that for a long time though, they should change the name of the list to
Top 100 most cheesy dj's who are not actually goo dj's but make well produced garbage for the mass

totally agree dude......thank god for techno :D very soon Pet duo will be playing along side with Jerome hill in a club close to were i live :D

The list is not meant to be taken seriously, it is full of Trance DJs! ;)

My votes would have been for

1. Erol Alkan
2. Fake Blood
3. Sinden
4. Boy 8-bit

Pretty insulting to call this a list of top DJs and then fill it with chavtastic house and trance producers.

The likes of Plastician, 16 bit and Goth-Trad produce far deeper mixes than any of the clowns on this list tbh.

After Tiesto's latest album, he needs to be taken out of the top 100. I could have sworn I bought a Bass Hunter album for crying out loud.

Good to see Deadmau5 in the top 10, but his live performances are far better than his releases.

My top 5
1. Paul van Dyke
2. Carl Cox
3. Daft Punk
4. John Kelly
5. Ferry Costen

Tiesto and Guetta at no.2 and no.3 respectively? wow.

This is by far Tiesto's worst year ever (as both DJ and producer). David Guetta is a complete different joke, the guy does not even know how to DJ let alone his shitty music. And holy shit @ Deadmau5 being a better DJ than Ferry Corsten.

Why do we even bother, this list has always been a joke to throw at promoters.

this list has always been crap...
Danny Howells not in top ten give me a break

but my favorite djs in no order

Luke Fair
Desyn Masiello
Jody Westernoff
Add2Basket
Dana Bergquist
Paul Keeley
16 Bit Lolitas

just to name a few..

No Andrew Weatherall? I saw him last night, fantastic. Luciano needs to be higher.

Definitely agree that Luciano needs to be higher, at least out of the 5 I voted for, he placed the highest.

1. Sasha
2. John Digweed
3. Nick Warren
4. Dave Seaman
5. Armin van Buuren/Hernan Cattaneo

Sasha should be everyone's #1 just for the sole fact that GU 013, GU009, Involver, Invol2er, and Renaissance exist.

And shit, Northern Exposure and Airdrawndagger.

John Digweed is guilty by association.

And Nick Warren put Nobody's Home - Ulrich Schnauss on an album, and I will love him forever because of it,

Wow you listen to terrible music.

I like how everyone just hates on armin being he is number one. Haters gonna hate. Im not saying he is the best DJ in the world but when I saw him live if was a great fucking show, one of the best I have been to.

Also fuck the deadmau5 haters, go to a show then say some of the shit you guys say.

Ah since it's not club trance that drunk ass cheerleaders dance to it's obviously terrible!

Point being that people obsessed with shit like Armin and Ferry have no idea what electronic music actually is.

I really dislike Ferry, and Armin is a guilty pleasure.

So, I'll concede Armin, but Sasha, Digweed, Warren, Seaman and Cattaneo play club trance?

And if they do, Infected Mushroom doesn't? Fuck yeah, gimme some more psy-trance.

Apart from Armin, Milkman's list is excellent... and like Milkman said, someone who likes Infected Mushroom doesn't really have the right to call anything else cheese. :P

Armin is awesome and easily my favourite DJ, so I approve this list.

Deadmau5 is great too, Canadian power! Haters can suck it.

I've been at 2 parties this year where he was behind the decks, and both times he rocked hard.

No sebastiAn? Really? I know he didn't really make anything this year, but...

: [

But yay Boys Noize, boo MSTRKRFT being so low, and I just am completely biased on Daft Punk so my opinion is flawed.

Has anybody seen the official live video feed of the party? David Guetta could not believe it :lol he went screaming all around the stage. He was kinda cool though " It's time for danz muzik to rule ze werld !!!"

Also I was quite surprised by the crowd's reaction to Tiesto, the guy got a storm of boos while Armin was hailed to death :lol. It's good to know that I'm not the only one on this planet who does not like Tiesto anymore.

Oh and Armin's set did not impress at all, he could have done much better IMO, I mean yes there were some great moments (like when he dropped Sean Tyas remix of Paul Webster's Time and Healesville Sanctuary of Roger Shah & Signum) but the overall tracklist was not that good, he even ended the set with Cosmic Gate remix of John O' Callaghan - Find Yourself, WTF :lol :lol :lol ?
