Im honestly dissapointed this isnt a remake of the Django western from back then,

Seriously, shit would have been hot fucken fire, just look at how badass he is, He walks from town to town dragging a coffin if that isnt badass enough, the coffin contains a fucken gatling gun.

Man I can't wait for this one!!!! So much hype from me. Jamie Foxx is very talented, his performance better wow me

They did. And he fucked it up twice. The Darkest Hour is terri-bad and Killer Joe isn't very good.

They seem more like movies his shitty agent told him to do to raise his profile again. The guy is leagues ahead of JGL for the sole fact that I buy him as the lead of a movie. But he's also amazing in Into the Wild and MILK.

JGL in a Spielberg film as well this year. Fucking christ.

It would have been so great to see Will Smith in this type of role, but Foxx should do a solid job.

I'm quite intrigued by Leo DiCaprio's role.

Foxx is going to be good i have no doubt. QT has particular demands of his actors he gets the best out of them. Rest of the cast is amazing.

The script is delicious. Bring on the first trailer.

From the script it's going to be something very special. I don't think DiCaprio has played a character as delightfully hateful as this. Him and Sam Jacksons dialogue is crazy

Is it a sequel or prequel to that other Django movie with QT in it?
I know the feel. After Pulp followed Dogs, they Jackie followed Pulp, I was like "woah, this guy is on fire!" But then after Kill Bill and Inglorious Basterds, good movies, don't get me wrong, I was a little deflated. I hope he turns it around, but his first three movies were truly outstanding. His next three were merely good. I hope it's not the start of the decline...

Edit: I appear to have quoted something not at all connected to my post. NVM, my bad.

Inglo Basts and Kill Bill are god tier Tarantino. Yer certifiable.

death proof is by far my least favorite tarantino.

Looks like we're getting close to the requisite list wars part of the thread!

Jackie Brown > Inglourious Basterds > Pulp Fiction > Reservoir Dogs > Kill Bill Vol. 2 > Death Proof > Kill Bill Vol. 1

Really interested in seeing how Leo plays Candie. I wasn't convinced at first but this could really work.

If this is not a joke, then great. Quentin has more good stuff than bad and has to of style. However, if Jamie Fox fox is the main character it would be a bit disappointing to me. Jamie is not nearly as cool as Franco Nero.

Jackie Brown is by far the best of QTs movies.

In fact, its the only really good QT movie. The rest are just ridiculously overrated.

Everyone bitching about Foxx makes me LOL. Because you know so much more about who's right for a role QT wrote.. much more than QT himself right?

It's just an opinion? An actor has been announced for the main role and since its based on an existing IP people have expectations. In my case, while Jamie is a more skilled actor than Nero, Nero seems a lot more cooler to me. Style is really important for this type of roles.

That's my perception... just that.

I agree he's amazing in Into the Wild. Hopefully Savages puts him back on that map, but I heard he was barely in it :/

theres really no point in seperating kill bill 1&2 since he put out the actual order you shuold watch it in

anyway for me

IB=KB=Pulp>Reservoir=JB>Grindhouse

Deathproof is not good, but if you take grindhouse as its whole silly experience its not all that bad.

is there any reason why you keep mentioning Nero? Besides the fact he played in a movie called Django? This is a different movie it's not a sequel/prequel so I don't get why you mention him as if he was rumored to be the main character at all. the main character is a black slave. As far as I know if Nero was to be in the movie it would be cameo.

Because Nero played the main role in the original which was a western that distinguish itself from the rest because of its style? Jamie doesn't resonate with me as cool or stylish, that's all. But at least there´s the explanation of why i keep mentioning Nero.

You got samuel L jackson for that. sit back and chew your popcorn. And again this movie is its own thing. It's not a django spiritual successor or anything so I think you should probably keep expectations in check in what this will be like. Although QT movies are most of the time stylish. We'll see what he does with Foxx.

No use in anyone else attempting to rank his movies. We're done here.

I absolutely cannot wait for this movie.

Jackie Brown > Inglourious Basterds > Pulp Fiction > Reservoir Dogs > Kill Bill Vol. 2 > Death Proof > Kill Bill Vol. 1

I could agree with this. Although I still love both kill bill I and death proof though.
