Is that Ecstasy of Gold in the beginning? Figured we'd hear some Morricone in connection to this eventually.

Prett cool spot.

Oh, and we posted this last week but doesn't seem to be getting much traction. Seems like it will be fun:

Quentin Tarantino, John Landis, and Over 30 Friends Set for Enzo G. Castellari’s “Big” Upcoming Western

DiCaprio will be the most giffable film star of 2013 (the film is out this year but you know there's gonna be mileage), I can see it now.

So hyped for this. Normally I can't stand DiCaprio for some reason (I haven't really liked him in a movie since Titanic, but I get why he's considered such a good actor), but he looks hilarious in this.

Everything sounds good to me. Waltz back with Tarantino can only mean greatness.

He's the lead. And don't hate, he was good in Collateral.

What the fuck is with the Jamie Foxx hate? I'm suprised at all the Idris Elba love.

How could you even tell which actor would be better for the lead?
Well if I had to guess maybe when he was cutting off Doug Williams during a roast and mocking him during Doug's segment.

Again I do not know much about these things though so just a guess. I would have guessed that he was a very wealthy actor but so are the others so that is out of the ballpark I guess.

I do not think they are bashing him as an actor rather his personality, maybe they are though I am not sure.

No problems with the Foxx casting here. Every role should go to Idris Elba according to GAF.
haha, I do not have any personal problems with Jamie Foxx (do not know him, nor would I want to know him), however personally I am opposed to much of the cast being the same old actors rather than fresh faces just because I know they are going to probably rake in a ton of cash.

I might see this film if I can get a job again to afford to. I do think Tarantino is a tad overrated though.

I'm another person who doesn't get the Foxx hate. But all I've seen him in, so far as I can remember, is Ray and Collateral, and I thought he was especially good in the latter. He's never been on my radar besides that, except maybe popping up to feature on a rap song here or there.

And I just watched that roast thing. Seems familiar actually, but as much as Foxx is a jerk there, the comedian he's bullying delivered some aggressively generic material. The kind of banal, hackneyed observations that wouldn't go amiss on an amateur Open Night. Even televised roasts have some sort of standards.

Cityonfire received the following press release from Lionsgate on September 17, 2012: Celebrating Quentin Tarantino’s legendary filmmaking, Lionsgate and Miramax are proud to present the Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection, arriving on Blu-ray Disc November 20th.

Tarantino XX contains eight films chosen by Tarantino to illustrate the first 20 years of his career, featuring the films that helped define his early success, including Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds. To complete the stunning high definition 10-disc set, the Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection also features two discs with five hours of all-new bonus material, highlighted by a critics’ retrospective on Tarantino’s groundbreaking catalog of films and “20 Years of Filmmaking” that contains interviews with critics, stars and other masters of cinema.

Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection showcases one of the most innovative filmmakers of our time and is a must-have for serious film fans, as Tarantino’s highly-anticipated new film, Django Unchained, prepares to hit theaters. Honoring the 20th anniversary of Reservoir Dogs – the cultural milestone that brought Tarantino to the forefront as a cinematic legend – the collection is highlighted by recurring appearances from celebrated actors including Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth and Steve Buscemi, and also includes starring performances from iconic actors such as Brad Pitt, Pam Grier and Robert Forster.

Pretty sure it does exist and has been shown.

At this point I'm willing to believe it's all a big joke. What's the point anyway? Reports mention that it's pretty much the japanese Volume 1 with some stuff edited out and that Volume 2 is unchaged. Pointless.
