DmC releasing January 15th, 2013, PC version coming later

I can't believe how long Capcom gave them.
Why do you say that? It's about the same time it took and DMC3/4 to be released (2 1/2 to 3 years).

Anyway, I figured it would be out in 2013. I'm glad they finally announced the PC version as well.

I think her design looks pretty cool. I probably wouldn't have minded Dante's design either if he was a new character.

I'll give credit to NT they know how to create sexy females even if they resemble one another showing their lack of imagination, like already pointed out she has a striking resemblance to Kai. And that pathetic chic from Enslaved looked very much like Nariko.

Aesthetically NT female characters look nice but for male characters they look dumb and come of as dumb in the story. Monkey was a terrible terrible representation of Sun Wukong. And TBH if this Dante was a new character I would still hate him because obnoxious and brooding teens have never appealed to me.

Heh...would rather see the Devil May Cry: HD Collection being released on the PC, but if it turns out to be any good, I guess I'll get this new DMC...maybe...

If this game does terrible critically I hope you don't run and hide like with ORC, Mr DMC is overrated and DmC is the best thing to happen to the franchise.

But then again you could be right...
the faster this comes out, the faster we can see a DMC5.

At this point Im not holding out hope for DMC5.

If the PC port as as good as DMC4 and RE5 were, then that's the version I'll get.

Now we need to see if the game is worth it on any system.

In line with new Dante. Shit.

They have no imagination when it comes to these characters. Serious, teenage looking girl with big lips and cleavage? Been done about 100 times before. No wait, they put a mark on her for head. ok been done 80 times before. Granted Trish and Lady aren't that original either.

Well it will be 60fps somewhere. Even for UE3 the graphics look pretty rudimentary so I imagine it will run well on nearly every machine. The cut-scenes will probably be compressed videos like Enslaved and Heavenly Sword so that's unfortunate for PC gamers.

What the hell are you taking about? I didn't hide from anything - I was open to playing ORC, but after getting my hands on it it's just simply not a good game, which I've said several times.

Thankfully, this game is much more polished than that one, and plus they've got their head in the right place in regards to design. So yeah, I'm sticking with this game, and their decision to try something different for the series.

Will this be announced for WiiU? a port based on the PC version would be cool with higher resolution and framerate + DRC subscreen streaming would be anough for me.

dont... say such terrible things.... :'(

if DmC sells well= DmC2 announced
if DmC sells crap= DMC goes the way of megaman or maybe proper DMC5 enters development

but that scenerio seems unlikely knowing cacpcom likes to annoy it's consumers.

Watch the game's port will be horrendous like Lost Planet, in which a vast majority of PC gamers can't get 60fps. Remember guys this isn't MT Framework.

Will still try, of course, but not expecting much. While I am very, very slowly warming to Dante's new design since his "tweaks" I am not a huge fan of Kat's design. A bit generic and boring to be honest. We'll see how this turns out, though.

Wondering if they will have the guts to include Vergil or something? Or is Dante confirmed to not be a twin in this reboot?

I'm over Dante's design at this point. It looks far better than it did initially, and it's not worth raging about anymore.

The crux of the problem is if NT can deliver any good action gameplay, which we still have yet to see. Hopefully, we'll see a lot of it at E3.

dont include gfwl for PC and maybe ill buy it.

This is Capcom. Of course it's going to be GFWL.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. MT Framework can be pretty iffy of an engine. It doesn't seem to handle action on a mass scale too well, which LP used. At least UE is a proven engine and optimized for both PC and consoles.

Hmm, this is true. I hated the first "methy" look and am glad they revised him to make him a bit more, well, bearable. But when push comes to shove all that matters is the gameplay. And as you said, I'm still waiting to see how this turns out.

I'm really NOT optimistic considering Ninja Theory's pedigree, but even then I kind of enjoyed Enslaved and Heavenly Sword (though for very, very different reasons as to why I enjoy DMC). I still don't think they're as good as developer as some seem to think. >_>

SO MANY QUESTIONS, SO LONG TO FIND OUT

This is Capcom. Of course it's going to be GFWL.

Saw ORC for PC on the shelves yesterday and it's GFWL. I think that's the Capcom standard now

Capcom said:
DmC Devil May Cry, the next installment in the multi-million unit selling franchise, will release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 15, 2013 in North America and Europe. In addition, PC gamers will also be able to experience the title with a Windows PC version whose development is well underway and scheduled for release later in 2013.

Developed by critically acclaimed Cambridge based developer Ninja Theory in close collaboration with Capcom, DmC Devil May Cry details Dante’s early years set against a contemporary backdrop. While retaining the stylish action, fluid combat and self-assured protagonist that have defined the iconic series, DmC Devil May Cry injects a more brutal and visceral edge to the franchise.

DmC Devil May Cry will be fully localized with voice talent in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian and in addition, Polish, Dutch, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese languages will be supported with localized text.

Critically acclaimed? Damn.

Brutal and visceral? Wonder what they will have in store

and look at all that localization...no mentioning of gameplay and a text-based DS game (Edgeworth 2) can't even get a chance

Fuck NT has a lot of pull in the industry

I thought this game was Unreal Engine 3, in which case it means the PC version should be absolutely excellent.

Finally some real news on the game.

PC version means there is a good chance I will be getting this game now.

Release date is also good news, game needs more time in the oven.
