Fetishing muscular manly men in skintight hosery
Or is that just a popular misconception?

I was reading that Justin Bieber thread and there appear to be a lot of conflicting opinions on whether he looks good in his new form or not.

I always thought that women did prefer muscular men, though the guy who plays Sherlock (the superior British one) and the dude who plays Loki are very popular with women, yet they hardly have any muscle whatsoever.

Women prefer slightly buff for the most part. Problem is when men think buff, they think Arnold or Stallone.

This is a crazy thought, but maybe different women have different preferences about who they are attracted to.

You know, being individuals and all.

I actually find muscular men to be pretty unattractive. Not sure why.
I guess I mostly mean buff, beefy dudes. A fit guy is more acceptable for me.

Women like all kinds, being the singular entity they are.

Like the Borg.

I think if you're at least fit and healthy, you've cleared most bars when it comes to looks.

My Ex is completely crazy about Joseph-Gordon Levit, Comberbatch and Tom Hiddleston, and I think it's because of their personality, voice, charisma, they seem nice and genuine.

But at the same time she is also really hot over heels for guys with nice abs and muscular builds.

I don't think it needs to be a contradiction, but just about looking hot in different ways. Of course, I am not a woman, so I can't be certain if this is indeed the case.

Women prefer what's in the media. So yes, generally a fit and somewhat buff look is going to be attractive to far more people than any other option.

Oh and there's this

Women do not function on a singular wavelength. People like different kinds of people in general.

one time i told this girl i know a secret and like a day later every other girl we knew also knew about the secret so i think your claim is kinda bullshit.

I thought I read somewhere that more women like men who are in shape, but not the type with ridiculous muscle bodies.

Of course individual women have preferences but majority opinions can be measured.

In all honestly its going to vary from woman to woman. Just like some guys like big boobs and some like small. Some guys like big butts and some like a smaller one. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It's pretty much preference and taste for the most part. Some look at personality over appearance and vice versa.
This is a non-answer. If 95.4% of people prefer eating a cake over unborn duck fetus, you can still say people have different preferences.

I remember reading about some scientific study that revealed women generally desired lower body fat above all else, even masculine traits like muscle, beard, odor. The less body fat despite all other factors, the higher the men tended to rate.

This was a long time ago, and I can't even remember if it was peer reviewed, so grain of salt.

Some women do. Some women don't.
Being individuals, we have varied tastes, just like men.

I'm talking about women in general.

When a women's magazine puts some attractive guy on their cover, presumably they do so because said guy would be appealing to a large segment of women. I'm sure some women prefer someone like Kevin James as well, but I would be rather skeptical if that made up any statistically relevant portion.

i dont like men who are too buff / roidy. I like toned abs though.

but the thing that is my kryptonite is well groomed facial hair.

<3

i also love well kept hair on men. i mean i loooooooove love love love running my fingers through my bf's hair when i was dating him.

ooh mannn

Guys telling you that all women like ripped guys are lying. to you. I'm pretty damn ripped and not all woman like me. Some do sure but not all.

You never really hear chubby chasing heterosexual women.

Being in shape helps. I've never heard any woman pine for love handles and beer bellies.

I think people in general prefer someone in shape i.e. not obese. I don't think women in general specifically like really muscular men.
