I never said it was better. I said, it is what it is. It's not the big deal some people here try to make it out to be, using words like "mutilation" to described it.

I think it is a bigger crime is being forced into religion from birth but that is another thread/discussion and I am not gonna derail.

While people some people do make it way too big of a deal, don't go the other extreme and diminish the foreskin to "just a piece of skin". It has very real biological and sexual functions. It's not just a meaningless flap over the head. An eyelid is also just "a piece of skin", if you want to just call it that, but it also protects, lubricates, and preserves sensitivity of the eyeball. So in function, it bears some similarity to the foreskin.

Personally I would have preferred to not have been circumcised, especially since they messed it up a bit (not badly, but still).

I know people talk about being cut as a sanitary thing, but after my shower this morning and never thinking about it until this thread, I really dont appreciate a religion forcing me to make that decision for me.

I did some digging, and apparently cutting was something done to stop boys from masturbating. Pretty much its now rolled into the whole baptism business.
