Do y'all still eat at Chic-Fil-A?

I work next to one and I haven't had Chick-Fil-a since Gears of War 3 came out. I don't care about their politics, I just don't care for the food enough to go go there regularly/often. I either get my food at work or at a Grocery store. I rarely eat other places unless I am treating myself to a buffet or something.

I haven't eaten there since the controversy erupted, but my closest Chic-Fil-A is independently owned, so the money doesn't really go toward any of the gross lobbying they try to do. I wouldn't have any shame eating at that one.

Nah

Ah I forgot all the scientific articles linking fast food consumption to the obesity epidemic were redacted.

Don't be thick. Nobody but you is talking about health. You're yelling at a wall, bro.

Please stop bothering him. I am hungry and would like to eat breakfast but he has yet to respond to my PM approving my food choice.

Make sure it's healthy. Because taste has literally nothing to do with what food people prefer. Or something.

I tried it once recently because someone I was traveling with was dying for a chicken sandwich. What a let down. I don't see what the big deal is with this place. It's just like any other shitty fast food except they hate gay people.

I live in Texas and there are multiple gay people working at one of the three Chik-Fil-As in my town.

If its good enough for them to work there, then I think its ok to eat there. Plus the food is delicious.

I'll occasionally stop and get one of their diet lemonades, but I haven't eaten anything from the 'fila in about a year. They do make some damn fine chicken though. Them nuggets are fantastic.

I'm gay and would eat there if I was in America. I doubt they're the only company in that country to be homophobic, can't avoid them all.

I remember going to a chicken sandwich place in the mall that was really good. Can't remember the name at all.

EDIT: Found it, Chickenow. Only exists in that mall for south florida.

You can't avoid a single company that makes it known that they're anti-gay...so why try at all?

Lmao damn, that's some weak as fuck will.

Never eaten there before, don't plan on ever doing it. There's enough good/better food in my city.

Also LOL forever @ the person suggesting that marriage is 100% religious. Damn, way to keep your head in the sand.

How do you know there's better food in your city?

I used to, but they recently opened a Zaxby's near me, so I go there for all of my delicious chicken needs.

The CEO might be a dumbass, but that doesn't have anything to do with the food and employees at the Chic-Fil-A, which are always a delight.

I go there a couple of times a month. I was ordering wrong for a decade until about a year ago when I switched my order from the nugget meal to the spicy deluxe chicken sandwich. I'm never going back to nuggets.

I haven't eaten at Chick-Fil-A since 2011 because of their views, but it's a personal choice, and I don't care if other people want to eat there. There are also only like two where I live now (Chicago). so avoiding them is really easy. It kinda sucked when I used to live in South Florida because they're all over the place and my old office used to love going there in groups. But it's just one of those things that I felt strongly about, so that's that.

Man, I live in Chicago. I don't have to eat CFA to know that we have better food than it all over the city, lol.

But you don't know that. You could eat a spicy chicken sandwich and for some reason it just hits the perfect spot and you could think it's the best thing you've ever eaten.

Short of making everything you own, growing everything you eat, and building your own domicile you're inevitably going to succumb to doing business with a morally bankrupt entity either directly or by abstraction. It is impossible to function in modern society without doing so. You can make the argument that this is the one you know about but don't fool yourself into thinking that your patronage isn't supporting some truly awful treatment of human beings somewhere in the world.

Ever since they stopped asking for name at my location and getting my gender wrong like every time, I go a lot more often.

It's good food. I'm queer too, so at the same time I can make both queers and queer haters uncomfortable by merely buying a sandwhich which is pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

I'll co-sign Sai's statement if you need someone who's had Chick-Fil-A in Chicago to tell you that we have better food than Chick-Fil-A. If you need a direct analogue, we've got Honey Butter Fried Chicken.

of course I do, it's fucking delicious.

The owner hating gay people isn't going to change the fact that it's delicious.

I've never been to Chic-Fil-A in my life and don't plan on it, not due to politics (although I am both gay and trans), I just rarely eat fast food and prefer homemade chicken sandwiches.

Never had the chance. The one that opened here in NYC was shut down before New Years due to failing so many health inspection points.

Just tried out the chicken sandwich that Shack Shake brought out the other day though.

I never really ate at them much at all before the whole gay marriage fiasco, just the occasional sandwich or waffle fries here and there. After that, I stopped going at all for a while and then just decided that I'm supporting bad shit with almost every company I buy from, so what the heck and started going back occasionally.

This has pretty much already been said, but I'm gonna echo what others have mentioned here. I don't feel like every decision needs to be life or death. If I went around second guessing every purchase from every company/manufacturer based on their business practices, then I would virtually not be able to buy anything. Consumers should care about the quality of the product. Nothing is wrong with supporting mom and pop shops for helping the local economy, but that is a different issue. If you go along with the idea of not supporting X because they do/don't have Y policy then you need to be consistent and do that with every other company lest you either be ignorant or hypocritical. Its easy to practice this selectively, but if you follow through with it to its natural conclusion (not supporting companies because of amoral policies) you essentially won't be able to live in society very easily. Their product is good and I want to buy it. "But Hab!" You say. "Does that mean if a criminal was pedding a product you liked you would buy it despite knowing the bad deeds done to bring it about?" No, because thats illegal. Theres a difference here. And as someone else said, at least they are out in the open about their beliefs and policies. In truth I'd rather buy from a company like that than one that does shady bs.

Also spicy chicken sammich is where its at. Dont forget if you wanna be deliciously evil, you have the option of swapping out a toy in the kids meal for an ice cream, parents.
