I eat that every few weekends at my grandmas. But we call it "sweet bread".

I have been obsessed with hot chocolate this past week. I don't really have a favorite tho- trying to find some good stuff to try.

Oh man, this is this best. There was this little shop we used to pass a bunch when I was studying in Spain one summer that had the beeeeest. One of the things I really miss!

Hot chocolate after spending the whole day in the cold is one of the best moments. Thank a lot op, now I'm in the mood for hot chocolate.

I love it. But I've been congested and haven't been able to drink it.

I hate when my nose is stopped up and I'm craving hot chocolate. It's really hard to justify lining it all up and then snorting it just to have it leak out again later.

I do. I'm not a coffee drinker, for the most part, because it usually tastes like wet socks.

I know GAF doesn't love it, but I like hot chocolate from Tim Horton's.

I find their hot chocolate to be fine. Their white hot chocolate is definitely better. I just get them to put some coffee in the regular hot chocolate. Good enough for me.

When I'm at home, it's just Milo. I've never really tried anything else.

YES

In Belgium they have these dipping chocolate things (they probably have these everywhere). Basically looks like a chocolate lollipop. You heat milk up and dip these in it, so the chocolate melts slightly. So good. Best enjoyed during the winter, in front of a fireplace.

hot chocolate is my favorite hot drink

I like pretty much all of it but not Abuelita. just tastes wrong to me

I usually have mine made. This cafe named Aroma in SoHo makes one of the best I've ever had. They actually throw a couple of milk chocolate bars in it, and melt it with the milk. Then they hand you a spoon so you can finish mushing it together.

I can't stand hot chocolate made with powder and no milk.

Great, now I want a hot chocolate.

Sometimes it's shitty, if you get the last bit, but when it's good I find it tastes really good. I'm not a fan of white chocolate, though, so I haven't tried the white one.

lol at this very moment this thread is making me make some Swiss Miss at work

I am going to use two packets for one cup.

2packets1cup because #YOLO

Yeah I was pretty cold all night last night when I asked this and drinking some good hot chocolate is a favorite way of mine to end the night.

And as to others talking about milk instead of water - I figured that was a given. I can remember ONE time when I first used water and it was absolutely gross.
Turns out we no longer have Swiss Miss.

We have some Nestle Dark Chocolate stuff instead.
I've tried that stuff and honestly it's nowhere close to Swiss Miss for me. I hope you were able to adapt to that because I sure couldn't.

Yes. I don't drink coffee so when we go out I grab a hot chocolate instead.

At home I make it with Milo or Cadbury.

Hot Chocolate with water is bomb, as it is with milk. I always do water because milk destroys me.

Looovee this

It kind of pisses me off whenever i'm in some kind of public place and they have free coffee available but no hot chocolate. Apparently hot chocolate is more expensive, but I just could have sworn I remember as a kid many of those kind of setups having hot chocolate as an option too. Now I never see it.

I don't really like hot drinks but after working outside in cold temperatures for the last 2 months, hot chocolate was my go to drink. Dunkin Hot chocolate is awesome, cheap, and quick to get on the fly.

I love hot chocolate, but I don't know what I like best. Does Horlicks count? It's kinda chocolatey, mostly malty... really nice though.

Love me some hot chocolate made with Abuelita, with the occasional sprinkle of cayenne pepper. Sometimes I'll make champurrado as well, which is a bit thicker than standard hot chocolate.

Always paired with conchas if possible, or churros if I really wanna spend a little extra.

What food places have the best hot chocolate?

I always found starbucks to have so-so hot chocolate.

iHop's is good, but sometimes i'm not in the right mood for it because it's really sweet.

Denny's I always found to be watered down garbage, until recently where they started adding a very noticeable amount more of chocolate (at least at the one near my house), but now I find it too sweet lol.

I loove hot chocolate. Most powders and milk will do me just fine. I'm willing to try some brands that you can buy in the UK though!

Does anyone know of a hot chocolate brand that just has cocoa for the ingredient? Everything I've tried so far has had corn syrup and all this other dog shit in it.

Thanks op I think I'll whip some up later. I just ran out of Ghiradelli hot cocoa mix so I'll have to use the plain cocoa powder and sweetener. And some ginger for a hit of spice.

Also anyone who doesn't like hot cocoa is welcome to fight me. Please PM to set an appointment.
