Do you support businesses that openly support trump?

I really don't like judging people or business based on their political leanings unless it's completely off the rails. So in most cases, no.

Nope, what do I care as long as I get the service/quality/whatever I expect from said business. Would you stop talking to friends and family that are GOP supporters?

"Sorry mom, I know you love me, but fuck off until you change your political leanings." No thanks.

Bingo. Some people take politics way too seriously.

A little bit of Devils advocate here, but...

Since businesses do not have the right to vote, I could care a less what a "business" thinks about anything political. It's the employees that matter. Even if the owner is a Trump supporter, you could be putting hard working people that do share your political beliefs out of work by boycotting a store where the owner is a supporter of differing beliefs.

Like basically, if I supported Trump (I'm Canadian, and I don't), but all my 10 employees were voting for Hilary, what use would boycotting my business do to help further your own political agenda or to harm mine?

I wouldn't support them. Just like I don't go to chic fil a. i don't care what people's opinions are, or where their money goes, but if a business is going to rub my face in it. they can fuck off.

IDK, man. I find their prices far more offensive than their politics. lol

I don't even know of any business that goes all out in pointing out which candidate they support. Sure there are two Coney Islands I visit now and then that have Fox News (and ESPN) on their tvs so gee I wonder if they are pro Hillary? Probably not. It's not like they give me the bill with Trumps face on it or put ketchup on my omelette in a way that spells out "Trump 2016". I don't talk politics with them, they don't talk politics with me.

Of course I would support them.

I buy from businesses for their product and not for their political views. (Unless that political view somehow degrades the product)

Yes. People have opinions. I have a strong enough backbone to deal with differing opinions.

Many big & popular companies support the GOP. Probably a ton of the products most use are made by companies donating to the GOP. Trying to figure out which ones to stop using is a huge headache.

So most likely, you're already indirectly supporting the GOP and don't even know it. Best to just worry about beating them at the ballot box instead.

But sure, if there's a some small business with GOP signs all over the place, I'd probably not do business there. Can't say I've ever ran into that situation before, though.

But how could anyone possibly know all that. Fact is, there is a Trump sign out front. We can only judge by what we see and know.

Nah.

A business owner has the right to back any politician as long as I'm served legally as per the law.

They can worship satan for all I care as long as I'm treated with the same respect and service as any law abiding citizen

:)
Agreed. Don't like me? I don't care, serve me and go whine when you get to your home about how you had to serve me with a smile.

A lot of major companies in historic industries are conservatives. Tech, entertainment, and food companies are easier to pick from, but banking not so much.

I try as much as possible to give money to institutions that I agree with. Do I do it all the time? Impossible without greatly inconveniencing myself. The majority of the time I do though. I've already found alternatives to a couple of businesses down here in Miami that I saw their owners wearing Trump shit.

Like you OP, if it was McCain or Romney I probably wouldn't of found an alternative until I heard something I absolutely despised from the Owners mouths. With Trump though? Insta-leave.

Wendys Spicy Chicken is better than any chicken at chick fil a.

From someone who enjoys both, you have no idea what you're talking about.

If I start boycotting places, I'd not have a lot of choice where to spend my money. There's always something I'm going to disagree with, and like others have said, if I have a pleasant experience in person, that's going to go aways in offsetting what some nameless prick in charge likes to do.

I try to always support leftist businesses. I will never buy from Chick Fil A for example. Wouldn't ever shop at an openly conservative place. You aren't getting my gay dollars

I haven't seen any businesses that are openly-supporting Trump but if I did, they wouldn't get my money.

Bingo. Some people take politics way too seriously.
I don't know how it's possible to take politics too seriously; it has a direct impact on your quality of life.

Haven't seen any businesses here that show support for any candidate but I would definately seek an alternate if possible if I knew one supports trump.

Which yuge businesses openly support Trump? The only big one off the top of my head are Home Depot, whose CEO wants to sponsor THE WALL.

I don't give a fuck. I would have nowhere to shop if i only spent money on places that supported certain ideologies.

My barber is an open Trump supporter now that Bernie is out. He's one of the people who supports Trump because he wants the political establishment uprooted no matter the costs. He's a kook but he gives fantastic cuts.
Wouldn't trust that loony with scissors near my neck.

Are there any major companies that are open Trump supporters?

Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't care, like if they were supporting Romney.

But Trump? Nah. I wouldn't do business there. It says a lot about them IMO to support a man running on hate, fear, and prejudice.

I stopped eating at chik-fil-a. It was really easy even though I enjoy their food. I'd probably eat there now, but I also can't say I really miss it. It's seriously not that big a deal at all. There are other places to get fast food chicken.

This is such a weird statement. Are you just totally unaware of how government and politics can affect people's lives?

Trump wants to implement a religious-test on immigrants, wants to stack the supreme court with regressive nutters that could up-end decades worth of civil rights progress, and would almost be guaranteed to severely damage our standing in the world. You should be taking that seriously.

I refuse to support my Trump Steak at this time. It will remain frozen until he changes his ways.

In the meantime, I've stocked up on Dollar Tree steaks.

Do businesses in the US openly support political candidates? The answer for me is no.

Nope, what do I care as long as I get the service/quality/whatever I expect from said business. Would you stop talking to friends and family that are GOP supporters?

"Sorry mom, I know you love me, but fuck off until you change your political leanings." No thanks.

If an American family member told me that they supported the GOP then I would stop talking to them. A GOP supporter wouldn't love me so that "I know you love me but" doesn't factor in.

Shit, I haven't even ordered or chip in for pizza from Papa John's anymore. If i'm able to avoid a company with shitty practices and loud mouthed shitty ceo's I will try.

Well, that's an easy one though since Papa John's is shit in a box. It just helps that the CEO is a bigger shit in a box.

I live in TN(which is a republican state) and I've seen maybe 2 Trump signs.

As someone else who lives in TN, I found this hard to believe. I live in a fairly small town, though, so there's that. There was a sweet little old lady who was taking down all the Trump signs in the immediate area, so a lot of them are gone now however.

I never said you have to shop at these places. Just try to be informed when making decisions that could affect people's livelihoods.
You said that people should just err on the side of shopping someplace where the owners openly-support a bigot running for president because they may employ people who have opposite views.
