Splenda drops, yes
Splenda packets, no

Packets contain maltodextrin which has a high glycemic index and 4cal/g. Splenda packets are not really 0 calories - they're 3.5 or 4, and anything below 5 cal/serving can legally be rounded down to 0 call on labels

I heard this coronavirus thing makes you lose weight. wink wink.

I'm fasting, started on Monday. I am only consuming black coffee, unsweetened tea, a centrum silver multivitamin, water, and saltwater. I have flavored zero sugar electrolyte packets coming on wednesday. I don't know what they sweetened it with I just know I will need more potassium than is in my multivitamin to get through this.

Monk Fruit
Stevia
Erythritol

Use those to sweeten everything. Those are the healthiest and most trustworthy sweeteners that come with almost no side effects. They don't stimulate your blood sugar levels, or illicit any kind of insulin response

Splenda is dextrose and maltodextrin I think, with a bit if sucralose, which has been shown in studies to cause brain tumors and other issues. I don't trust any sugar free sweeteners except for the three aforementioned in my post, and I've tried all of them (sucralose, apsartame being the ones I wish I never had but as a kid drinking protein shakes I had no idea they were the ingredients that were killing me)

There are some keto protein drinks that use erythritol that are absolutely perfect. Tastes like the perfect amount of sugar is in it, but there is no sugar. It's incredible

You can't go wrong with Stevia, Monk Fruit, and Erythritol sweetened foods. It makes low carb or lower carb diets way easier to adapt to

I second this, when I went sugar free to break my sugar addiction and insulin resistance these were the best

Monk fruit is the most sugar like in taste (I find stevia to be bitter), it's expensive af though, and erythritol is often mixed with monk fruit to stretch it because it's not a massively cultivated produce

Yacon syrup is another good one with a great fiber quality as well.

Yeah sugar free is the best way to go. There are sugar free maple syrups, cookies, just recently I tried sugar free brownies that were pretty good. Sugar free protein drinks are amazing, I buy KOS chocolate protein powder, pea protein, and it tastes pretty damn extraordinary in just water. Add an ounce or two of coconut milk and some extra stevia for taste, and it's the best protein shake you will ever have. Add some blueberries? Tastes just like a dessert, not even a protein drink hardly but a dessert. Incredible products out there that are Keto friendly

Nice! I will have try that protein. I try to stick to organic and always go plant based, never whey. All of the nutmilks like almond, coconut, oat, etc, I always get unsweetened as well.

Doesn't that shit cause cancer? Or is that some dumb myth I hear everyone say...
I heard it gave mice a shit ton of cancer

But then omg but were not mice lols

Idk I think there's still something to it

I think artificial sweeteners are a very new thing and idk about the quality quantity of studies related to them

Fuck it tho I'm sticking to sugar in moderation

Ya I googled it quick and said there's no connection to cancer but a lot of topics came up on the subject. Seems to be really bad for your gut. Didn't really read too much. Just skimmed quick. I'd stick to sugar just to be safe though lol
Just use a lot less

It will affect your gut bacteria so probably best to pay attention to your body. Maybe don't keep using it long-term if you are worried about any adverse affects. Perhaps get on some good probiotics afterwards.
